Bug fixes and performance improvements.
Divechamp is a surprisingly technical physics-based sports game that focuses on the art of Olympic-style diving. While the graphics are simple, the physics engine is where the game truly shines. You have to carefully manage your takeoff, rotation speed, and entry angle. It’s a game of millimeters; a slight over-rotation can turn a perfect 10 into a painful 'belly flop.'
The career mode provides a nice sense of progression, allowing you to unlock more difficult dives and better divers. It requires a lot of patience and muscle memory, which makes a successful high-difficulty dive feel incredibly rewarding. It’s a great pick for sports fans who prefer precision and timing over fast-paced action.
Realistic 3D physics and diver animations
Multiple competition levels from amateur to pro
Wide array of unlockable dives and divers
Intuitive touch-and-hold control scheme
Slow-motion replay for reviewing your performance
Rotation is controlled by holding the screen. Release at the right moment to 'straighten out' before hitting the water. For a perfect score, your diver must enter the water vertically with as little splash as possible.
Earn points in local competitions to improve your diver's stats. Upgrading 'Agility' allows for faster rotations, while 'Strength' gives you a higher jump, providing more time to complete complex maneuvers in the air.
The judges look for height, a variety of rotations/twists, and most importantly, a vertical entry with minimal splash.
This app is the diving game I’ve been hoping to see for a long time. It is fantastic without any improvements needed. That said, I agree with some of the calls for female divers (and divers of color). Other improvements you might consider are allowing players to make minor adjustments to get diver to vertical after kick-out, or maybe a partial/full lockout. It’s just really hard to hit that exact perfect kick-out, and the penalty for missing even a little is steep. Also the twisting speeds are ridiculously fast. I’m doing ok with it, but I could see slowing it down a bit. Great job on this application, though. Thanks for building it.
Love the new meets added. I would really love to have the option to create and compete your own 11 dive list. And maybe a half twist button? Keep up the great work!!
Let me start off by telling you that this game is utter perfection. The dynamics are so on and the physics is right which makes it so much fun to play. The ONLY complaint I have is when the diver is doing a type of backwards flip (reverse, back) when you switch from doing a backwards pike to a backwards somersault the guy glitches, he starts in a different position than where you left off on the previous flip and its not smooth. I know this is fixable because when you are doing a forwards dive, it works perfectly. If you could please take a look at this I will surely be buying much more from you guys! Thanks!
I love this game so much . I am a diver myself and the physics and overall aesthetics of the game are phenomenal. You can perform realistic dives. I love how smooth the game look and how you can compete in meets . Overall an amazing game
As a Diver and Diving Coach, I have enjoyed this game so much that I relive fun memories from Diving camps and watching my favorite U.S.A. Diving Champions! Totally one of the best games I have on my phone
I recently placed 20 in the nation on 1m and 3m at USA Nationals in Knoxville Tennessee, I have been looking for a game that resembles what I do for a living. This game is the best!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love how it makes no splashes
Best game I’ve ever played, super fun and interesting!! There’s only one problem, there should really be a female diver, only reason it’s not 5 stars.
