Our Expert Score

78/100

Disney Solitaire is exactly what you want from a branded casual game: it's charming, polished, and full of nostalgic magic. The way the game incorporates classic characters like Mickey, Belle, and Simba into the card backs and background environments is handled with a lot of love. It doesn't just feel like a skin; the subtle musical cues and themed animations make each 'win' feel like a little celebration from your childhood.

Mechanically, it’s a solid game of Solitaire with enough variety to keep things interesting. The daily challenges are themed after specific movies, which adds a nice layer of 'collectibility' as you unlock various stamps and avatars. While it doesn't reinvent the wheel of Klondike or Spider, the presentation is head and shoulders above generic card games. It’s a perfect pick-up-and-play title for Disney fans of all ages who want a cozy, familiar challenge.

Best Game Ever if you have self control
Tue Sep 23 2025 beardedluigi

This is my favorite mobile game. I have blazed through almost 600 levels in less than a month. I’ve done it without spending any real money. Yes, there are in at purchases offered to you, but you can be successful in this game without them. A HUGE plus is that there are no ads between games or any options to “watch ads for more lives” etc. There are pop-ups incentivizing you to buy things but you can just hit “x” on those really easily. My strategy is to leave notifications on, collect the free game Throughout your work or school day, and then play at the end of each day. Usually, you can gather 30,000+ coins that way. Then play the highest level of difficulty you’re comfortable with. I’ve found that this game lets you win on any difficulty if it’s your first game you’ve played that day. Usually, it’ll let you win two, after that it’s more skill and spending your power ups wisely. If I ever find myself losing two in a row, I will change the difficulty to shake up the algorithm, if I lose three in a row, I just stop, and I come back in an hour or two or just save it to try again the next day. Aim to try and domino all of the crazy amounts of streak bonuses it’ll give you. It’s a well-made game. It’s a beautifully animated game. It’s very fun and delightful. Some days it’ll knock you down but just take a break and try again the next day. The game more often rewards high risk plays and bonuses spending, that’ll feed money back to you as you hit streak bonuses.

Honestly No

I’m honestly starting to hate this game. I’ve spent more on this little game then I’d like to admit out of pure frustration trying to finish just one scene and still didn’t finish it. They make some of these levels use all of your coins to the point you either have to buy more and then lose all you bought the next game or at most 2 you play. Also in real solitaire there isn’t 6 Kings in one dec so.. I’ve spent 2 days coming in the game and clicking the free coin every hour and the first game I played even when choosing the “cheapest” option. It would use all my coins having to click the more cards bc it gave no other opt. Then I’d get down to 1 card and have to hit give up bc there are no other opts besides spend money and spending money didn’t work out the last couple times so I won’t be doing that again. It’s seeming a little scammy at this point and making me want to uninstall the game bc it takes incredibly long to beat levels and the rewards aren’t enough to keep you interest bc everything in the game is a money grab. It’s more frustration than anything. It shouldn’t take 10 plus days to get through 1 scene! Even after spending more then $20 (this is less then I embarrassingly spent) I’m playing to make money but they’re making the goals impossible to get to without paying so I may end up deleting this game all together..

SO FUN AND CUTE

I really, really enjoy this. I like solitaire, obviously! But having familiar Disney characters/scenes to unlock along these way makes it a bit more magical and fun. The visual style and playful music within the game remind me of the Disney Getaway app game. I looooved that game until I had to start over when it moved to Apple Arcade. So finding this one that is similar in every way except game play was exciting. My only critique is that I wish the theme of the level correlated with the scene you are in. Ideally it would be in sync with the scene you’re working on. Ex: when working on unlocking the frozen scene, the background behind the cards would be frozen themed and the music would be one of the tunes from the movie. There’s already music from the movies playing when you aren’t in a game! It would just help it feel more connected to the goal of finishing a scene. Alternatively, when you finish a scene, you unlock a theme and you choose which theme you want for your cards. You could even do it separately so you can customize having the visual theme you want and a different music theme, if the user would want. OR! As far as the music goes, the little instrumental versions that already exist in game could be on a playlist and you can customize it so only the ones you want play, and of course you unlock more as you go! This is a very minor, kind of aesthetic thing. The game itself is awesome and addictive as is!

Fun, but I think I rather have ADs
Mon Jun 09 2025 P53 Enthusiast

One of the biggest selling points on this games marketing is there’s no advertisements while you play the game. To compensate monetarily for this, the game makes it hard to successfully play more than 2 games per hour without having to spend virtual coins for power ups. Once you run out of coins, you are prompted to purchase more coins with actual money. The ‘randomness’ in this game does not feel truly random at all. Too often, the more games you play after your daily rewards, the worse the hand you’re given gets. I agree with many other reviews that you shouldn’t expect to win unless you pay, either virtual coins or actual money. Honestly, I really rather have ADs in the game if it means the ‘randomness’ gets skewed to the players favor rather than the games, or at least somewhere in the middle. You barely get any coins in return for what you spend. The graphics in the game are adorable and I like the selection of scenes they’ve chosen. However, the tactics to get players to spend real money are very sad and I would rather have ADs than have to deal with a game that’s unjustly skewed. I hope they change that soon because I’m honestly getting tired of this game. Many other reviewers feel fatigued too quickly because the odds aren’t in your favor. I understand that the game developers must profit somehow, but the tactics being pushed too far to the point you’re likely not going to keep player retention in the long run.

Disney Solitaire

I think the idea of this game is very good, but the way they chose to execute it is very poor and can be annoying for the player. Every hour you get exactly enough coins to play one round and the dealing of the cards is very unpredictable and it feels like you have to be very lucky to get the right cards. There should be a system that can see what cards you may need so that it can give you that card. It feels like every time I’m just about to beat the level, the card I need does NOT pop up and I have to shuffle through 4-6 cards(which is a huge waste if you try to play strategically). Also at the start of the game it should automatically flip to a card that matches one of the starting cards, or else you have to sit there and waste your cards bc none match(which feels very unfair for us players). The game would be way better if you could earn multiple stars to progress along with more ways to earn coins. I get that it’s luck of the draw but how am I supposed to progress if I need one more card but it doesn’t pop up at all(this has happened on many occasions) causing me to fail when I played it as smart as I’m able to. Please fix this or at least add more ways to obtain coins, it feels like it’s all a waste of time. I recommend this game up until around level 100, after that it’s kind of aggravating/pointless.

Not Sustainable
Sat May 24 2025 bb8211bb

While this game has a lot of potential, it is not sustainable. Moving up levels, everything costs more but you’re not winning or gaining more, leaving the only option to come back every hour to collect the prize coins and maybe you can play two levels a day. Wild cards and additional cards are going to be needed but every single time you buy one the price goes up. If you leave the game, you’ve lost your coins, haven’t advanced and have to wait until you collect more coins. The packages to buy more coins is almost reasonable yet having to do so as often as each person needs to isn’t sustainable. With this economy and so many people not having jobs makes that hard. This could be a very good game for those suffering with anxiety and depression (amongst other things) as it gives you goals to work for as well as puzzles to complete and new character arcs to be able to complete. But again, costing an arm and a leg to play isn’t sustainable. The price to pay per level needs to drop and stay at a lower rate. You’re only winning enough coins to play the next level, possibly. The amount of coins it takes to get an extra hand or wild card is astronomical and needs to come way down. There’s no reason it should be so high and continue to rise. If what a person is winning isn’t going to get any higher, then why are the extras needed rising higher and higher by thousands? That all needs to change before this game can be truly enjoyable and relaxing.

Do not install it!!!!
Sun Apr 20 2025 𝑟𝑢𝑏𝑦

I’m not one to write reviews but this game deserved it. When I first saw the ad for this game I was excited as it combined two things I liked and immediately installed it and it started off good with pretty animations and everything but when getting to the frozen levels you are faced with the reality of this game that it is the money grab. After about three levels none of the following ones seemed possible to make without buying the pack off 5 cards that didn’t help you or the wild card both of which are more expensive than playing the game. I continued playing and because of the events I was able to accumulate 100k but then I got to Moana which was worse than Frozen there was this one level for which I entered and the stack of cards was only of about 15 which I thought was okay as I saw the level had a mystery card waiting to be opened after going through the first 5 cards none of which where playable I was able to finally discard some cards none of which seemed enough to get an extra card from a streak after unveiling the mystery card it turned out it was one of those changing cards and having only 3 more cards in my stack I was unable to finish it without buying more none of which where of much help and ended up going from 100k to 20k as each stack was at a starting point of 9k and the price kept increasing finally finishing the level only to get 5k back!!! After that I was only able to afford playing four more levels before running out of coins and uninstalling completely disappointed

Addicting, Fun, and Frustrating
Sun Jun 15 2025 Dearth--Fader

I know a lot of people complain about the coins and the reward system, but that’s the biggest area for improvement. I understand the developers need to make money in order to keep producing content, so the only reason I can think of for the ever increasing coin requirement to play is for people to have to buy a larger amount of coins the further their progress faster (although that is FAR from a guarantee). The RNG is brutal as well. If you’ve got 10 cards left in your draw pile with 2 cards on the board and your next draw is a wild, you better guess the right card to use the wild on because at best there’s only one useful card in the last 10 draws. And the +5 bonus cards isn’t going to help. I once got five 10s using that bonus once. That shouldn’t happen. Other than what’s mentioned above and the unforgiving RNG,the thing I would like to suggest to improve is to make the hourly coin collection not stop accruing after an hour. The coins I collect should be based on how long I’ve been away. I don’t want to have to set an alarm each hour in order to be able to play more than one hand a day. If it cost 4k coins to play a standard round and I’ve been gone for 2.5 hours, I should be able to collect 10k coins. Overall, it’s a fun game and I like playing it. But the rewards system and unforgiving RNG is burning me out fast.
