Bug Fixes
Dingbats is a delightful return to the classic 'rebus' style puzzles that I used to find in the back of Sunday newspapers. The game presents you with a visual puzzle—like the word 'MAN' written on top of the word 'BOARD'—and you have to guess the common phrase ('Man overboard'). It’s a wonderful test of lateral thinking and linguistic creativity.
The difficulty curve is excellently paced; it starts with very obvious puns and slowly moves into obscure idioms that will have you scratching your head. The clean, minimalist UI keeps the focus entirely on the puzzle, and the hint system is fair, allowing you to reveal letters or remove extras if you get truly stuck. It’s the kind of game that’s great to play with a friend or family member, as two brains are often better than one at deciphering these visual riddles.
Thousands of unique rebus puzzles
Increasingly challenging levels
Helpful hint system
Clean, distraction-free design
Look at the location of the words. If one word is 'under' another, or 'inside' another, that is almost always a part of the phrase. Position is just as important as the word itself!
In addition to the main levels, check out the 'Daily Dingbat.' These are often themed around current events or holidays and offer bonus coins for completion.
You can use coins to buy hints, which will reveal one letter at a time in the answer box.
This game is really fun because in order to play all you have to do is guess what the words mean by small hints for example, it will have the words who inside the word charge broken in half and that means who’s in charge because the word who is inside of the word charge. This game has a really good concept. It’s just like how it is in the ads you don’t have to watch too many ads in the game except for when you’re trying to get prizes or earn more hints, but it’s a really fun game overall people say that you have to pay money to get rid of ads, but it’s kind of unnecessary to have to do that because there’s not enough for you not to want to play the game. I play this game all the time and I have no problem with the ads but a ton of people do you’re the type of person who can’t handle like one or two every 30 minutes then you shouldn’t play this, this game is really fun and I highly suggest playing.
I wish I could love this. It cheats me out of specials and bonuses and perks every time I am about to receive big even perks after watching videos too. It closes itself out which is usually when I am in the middle of specials and bonuses and perks for completions and then I do not get my perks either. Like just tonight in 30 minutes it has closed/shutdown plus the glitches about 15 times. I have restarted my phone, checked if it needed updated for and no it did not, checked the game see if it had an update and no there wasn’t, tried playing with wifi, tried playing without connection to wifi and nothing changes it still does it and mainly when I am getting a big perk or something. This has been goin off and on for 3 days now. I really like this game and want to love it due to this just closing out the entire app just shuts down and disappears like I had not even opened it or have been playing it not to mention the glitches too. Please fix it and so it won’t cheat me out of things anymore and so I do not have to keep opening it back up every second! Thanx Bex
I enjoyed the game enough to pay the few dollars to remove the ads. However i still have to watch ads to play Bonus levels, or to claim many rewards. This just isn’t fair. Atleast give some more incentive to watch the game. It does eliminate forced ads between rounds but I shouldn’t have to watch ads to get x3, or prizes, etc after paying. Very misleading to say ad free for the price, then still have advertisements. I understand y’all need to make money but really, misleading. Atleast offer 2 payment options maybe? Like pay $0.99 to remove forced ads, pay $2.99 to have absolutely no ads? The frequency of the ads is frustrating especially for a game I play to relax and help me to focus. Otherwise the game is pretty fun but some of the riddles are very stupid but all in all that is part of the challenge. Hope to see more updates and less ads. But the game overall is very fun and I like that I can casually start and stop at whim without penalty in a tournament for example. The price is low just wish it was more straight forward. If you are advertising/ selling a game of wits/ language skills like this, you really don’t need to be tricky ya know. It’s not like this game is attracting young kids or people looking for an action game. It’s people who wanna exercise their mind a little, most likely people who would be willing and appreciate more straight forward and fair pricing with ad removal. Or atleast make the ads skip or relevant.
I really enjoy this game! I love brain puzzles like this and so far I’m on level 30 and it’s been super easy- hoping the higher levels will present more of a challenge. However, my major complaint is the ads between every single level. I understand that free games run off ads but the game is broken up into bigger levels of 10- I would be fine watching a full video ad between every 10 levels but watching an ad between each small level which on average take about 10 seconds to solve means I’m watching 6 ads every minute… makes me actually stop playing a game that I otherwise may have sat and played nonstop. Basically every 3 or 4 levels I turn off the game because I’m sick of waiting for and seeing the same ad.
I love the concept, fun puzzles to solve, it’s similar to brain test in a way, which is another really fun game, just with words. Now, a lot of people say the game is riddled with adds, but to be fair it’s a free mobile game. I have a lot of patience for ads, and I’ve played games that are A LOT worse. So not a big deal, but it would be nice if you could do ads a bit less, I understand that the first set had little to no ads, because tutorial, I’m only on set three and maybe it gets better, because it sound like most of the reviews only get to set two and start getting very frustrated, but set two is most likely compinsating for set one. The also say the game isn’t challenging on set TWO, honestly if it got super difficult set two I would be even more upset because if it gets too difficult its not really fun anymore. Also I just have to say this, even though it’s just common knowledge. BUYING NO ADS ONLY REMOVES UN-OPTIONAL ADS YOU CAN STILL CHOOSE OPTIONAL ADS IF YOU WANT ITS FOR MONEY PURPOSES!! I really shouldn’t have needed to say that but there are dumbos in this world.
I do play this game quite a bit (I might get tired of it soon) I know a lot of reviews talk about how many ads there are, but let me just say that there is an ad after every single level, the levels are very short and easy (most of the time)I have now learned to just expect the ad after every level. I think that there should be an ad every three or four levels, not after every single one. I will admit I do enjoy the game, most of the levels are quite easy but some can be a little tricky. If you don’t mind ads or are willing to pay to remove them the I would definitely recommend this game. Just to let you know there are little things to get hints if you are stuck on one. There might be a phrase you don’t know which can make it hard so the hints help a lot. Sorry my review is kinda long but it is true (I’m not joking about how an ad is after every single level)
Don’t even download this game unless you’re going to pay to remove the ads. It’s virtually unplayable otherwise. Every click you make results in a new ad. Accidentally click on the menu button? Too bad- here’s a 30 second ad for you. And, when that’s over and you think you can get back to the game, you find that now the level has to ‘load’ which is simply an opportunity for them to show you another ad. Two for the price of one! I get putting in ads to make money and encourage people to buy the game, but this is genuinely ridiculous. Who shows two ads in a row? Seeing it was only $3, I figured it was worth trying. Unfortunately, this game isn’t unique enough nor is the interface good enough to justify buying it, let alone the fact that the ads don’t completely disappear after paying. Compared to other games I’ve purchased that left me alone after getting my money, this one is persistently terrible. Wouldn’t recommend
So if you have done these puzzles before you probably know them and love them like I do. But when I was playing this game two things really ruined it for me. 1. There is no space bar. And you don’t need to press one but the worst part is there is an ad where it is supposed to be. So whenever you accidentally try to punch the space bar you get redirected to the AppStore. Pretty cheap way to advertise if you ask me 2.after every game (sometimes 2) I had an ad. So by game level 14 I had already watched 10 ads. And if you love the game enough to watch ad after ad after ad them it’s shouldn’t bother you but it’s kind of a pain when I just want to play and I have to watch an excessive amount of ads And don’t get me wrong I get that these games have to advertise to make money but they also have to give people a good balance of ads to game play time. And the balance in this game is way off.
