Detention is such a good game absolutely worth every second. From start to finish, it pulls you into a world that’s both deeply unsettling and stunningly crafted. Kept me intrigued and has much potential!

Playing this in 2024 and it’s difficult to find a game that keeps you interested, with good jumpscares and all but also leads you down a story without being rushed or anything. This game has much potential, even though it’s 7-8 years old now it still has that spark to it. I absolutely love this game, I got a little emotional throughout 😭 I hope to see more from Red Candle games

It’s a story that stays with you.

The night I finished this game I literally only slept for 3 hours thinking about how good the story is. The mechanics and the translated texts are a little clunky but the visuals and the plot more than make up for it. As a Taiwanese American it also got me to reflect a lot about Taiwanese history and culture. I really can’t wait to watch the movie.

Gripping story

I found the story and folklore of the game difficult to relate to. But that doesn’t warrant a low rating on its own. I actually would give this experience a 5 out of 5 but the overall tone of it turned out to be very bleak. :( I appreciate the creators for putting this together. Fair warning to anyone who may struggle with mental illness, this “game” has a lot of triggers. But there is a fair disclaimer from the creators. “Hope is a good thing, and good things never die.”

Mysterious and fun!

I loved playing this game because it was a new cutscene and mysterious clue at every turn. The story was amazing, which I won’t spoil to any new players. I enjoyed the game so much that I played the game multiple times to get the secret ending. This game was definitely worth the 5 dollars I paid.

Amazing story

Wasn’t the best “game” if you are looking for exciting fighting arena or puzzle solving. But the story was amazing. You go through a life of a teenage girl and her decision making process. The producer of the game also incorporate vast amount of Taiwanese folklore and local cultural, that makes the story very interesting.

super duper good 10/10 would play again, I was confused for some parts like the clock part but I got it after like ten minutes.

I bought this game, but it can't be adapted well on my mobile phone, and the full-screen notification bar can't be hidden. I hope you can pay attention to it and push updates.
