Delicious: Recipe for Renewal is a heart-warming addition to Emily’s long-running story. What sets this entry apart is the 'Garden Renovation' mechanic. Between the frantic cooking levels, you get to slow down and decide how to restore the community garden. This creates a wonderful pacing loop where the high-stress lunch rush is balanced by a creative, relaxing building phase.
The writing remains as charming as ever. The game doesn't shy away from emotional beats, and watching Emily's family come together to help the community is genuinely moving. The levels are perfectly balanced—challenging enough to keep you on your toes but never so hard that they become frustrating. It’s a polished, cozy experience that fans of the series will absolutely adore, and it’s a great jumping-on point for newcomers.
60 story-driven levels
Beautifully animated cutscenes
New 'Garden Growth' mini-games
Customizable cafe and garden areas
Always serve customers in the order they arrived, but prioritize the children—they have the shortest patience and give higher tips if served fast.
Tap items in the kitchen to prepare them, then tap the customer to serve. Use earned coins to buy faster ovens and more comfortable seating.
Yes, finding the hidden mouse in each level is a classic Delicious tradition!
There’s something really special and nostalgic about playing the Delicious Emily games. Bringing back customization from earlier titles like personalizing your kitchen, menu, and choosing different helpers really feels like a thoughtful touch for longtime fans. It keeps the gameplay feeling fresh, and the storyline is on point as always.🙌🏼 The only downside is the ads. I understand why they’re there, especially since not everyone can afford the ad free pass (myself included). I don’t mind watching ads to double coins, but they don’t always work. About 2 out of 10 times, the ad plays and the reward isn’t given. The other issue is that there isn’t just an ad before the game. There is an ad before and 2 ads after should you try and double your coins. That said, I’ll always support Delicious Emily and GameHouse stories. You can really tell the developers care, and that means a lot to me.
Loved that it was a little harder than the last few games which makes it more fun to play. Maybe talk about the Karen character in the description so people know they’ll lose hearts faster if she’s not served quick. I’m trying to get used to people using the name Karen as something bad but am glad she wasn’t mean or anything. Loved the added characters it made it more interesting. I wish we didn’t have to go back in the game to finish getting the trophies because it interrupts the finale. Maybe have the store that you create as part of the story that you can run like other restaurants, I think that would make it more personal and cute. Thank you, waiting on more . Love the sentimental story and shareable tips
I’ve been playing Delicious for nearly 15 years. The story line is always on point and draws me in. I feel like I know these people. Thank you for this newest story-we all need renewal as time passes. I gladly pay the subscription fee to be able to go back and play older stories and remember why I fell in love with it so many years ago. Keep doing this - the character growth is genuine. ❤️❤️
I am a true fan of the entire Delicious Series, and have been patiently waiting for this new installment. My only complaint is the time given to serve the customers beginning with Level 56, back at Emily’s. Even on “ Easy” there is not enough time to make the order AND serve the customer! The customers come in with very low hearts and we only have mere seconds to try to serve them, so they all walk out. Even buying all of things to assist doesn’t help. It takes WAY too long to make the items, it’s so slow! This is very unfair. Every restaurant and level are great until level 56, and I would like to finish the game but I cannot. Please, PLEASE speed up the processing/cooking time!
I’m not sure if this is just a waiting period before I can purchase the single game vs. being locked into this expensive and pointless subscription which doesn’t reward people who have already purchased and played every single title. But it’s dismaying to hit a wall in one of the most beloved title characters from this publisher. Expect bugs too, as early as level 4 when the level ends early once the last customers have arrived. It’s a bummer to see this flimsy quality control paired with this ravenous monetization scheme. :( Please address this GH, I know I’m not the only reviewer experiencing these frustrations with this inability to purchase individual games!
I love all Delicious/GameHouse time management games… I pay for the subscription, and don’t mind as long as new games come out consistently… It is VERY FRUSTRATING that once you get to the bonus games (starting at 5-2 and most bonus levels after), customers lose hearts before you can serve them… like all of their hearts… it has nothing to do with the side quest, either… I skip those levels, which is disheartening
The game is wonderful as always but there is a glitch on some levels where the customer hearts go down ridiculously quickly. It’s sporadic throughout the game but on levels 6-3 and 56 it makes it impossible to get the achievement. I was hoping that the last update would correct this, but alas it did not. It’s still a joy to play, but my inner achievement hunter is woefully out of sorts.
I’ve been playing all the Gamehouse games for years and loved them all but this game is pretty glitchy. There are several levels that the hearts drop to zero before you can even pick up the first item. Makes it impossible to win the level. I’ve never experienced this with any of the other games. Are you working on a fix? Otherwise I really do love these games.
