AMAZING game, the lag is crazy though.
Fri Sep 27 2024 𝕄𝕠𝕠𝕟 ꨄ

Okay first of foremost, I LOVE this game. From the graphics to the gameplay, it’s honestly amazing. I love that I have the option to explore and build pretty much anywhere on the map. I also love the fact that it’s easy to obtain diamonds, other games make it nearly impossible to earn them, if they even give you the option to. The only issue I seem to keep having (along with others from previous reviews) is the lag. I could be fighting, gathering, looting or simply just exploring and it just randomly starts to lag, and it won’t stop until I close out of the game and log back in. I have an iPhone 13, it’s not too new but it’s not old either so I don’t think that’s the issue. I noticed the game hasn’t been updated in 9 months, maybe a new update would help? It doesn’t have to be big or anything, you can just fix some of the lagging issues. I feel like that would attract more people to this game. Just a suggestion though. Overall, this game is amazing minus the lagging, I highly recommend everyone to try this game out. Thank you for taking the time to read this! ❤️

Off to Great Start, Bigger Emphasis on Multiplayer.
Fri Aug 18 2023 xFollowChrist

In all of the hundreds and hundreds of games I’ve played throughout the year, I’ve never left a dedicated review on any of them. This will be my first legitimate game review, and I’m fine with that because I actually enjoy this game and would like to offer suggestions! The game is off to a great start. I believe to increase the longevity of this game, there has to be a bigger emphasis on multiplayer interaction and seamless connectivity between the two. The design of having two separate worlds within multiplayer and your single adventure world is a bit counterintuitive, since you have to completely restart everything depending on which one you choose first. It’s a bit of a drag knowing you have to grind all over again. I like single player games, but I love multiplayer games even more. I like exploring with people, fighting monsters with people, adventuring with people. This is how you create new friends, and this is the bedrock of what makes a game last for so long. People, or at least your friends, should be able to join your single player world. The apply to visit/settle is a bit strange, since 9 times out of 10 you get rejected. Even when you do visit, the owners don’t know how to change the settings to allow the visitors to craft and do other things. It’s a good game, but being able to explore this large open world with others in a more seamless way would make it a lot better. Thanks!

Neat concept that falls very short of the mark

This is a great concept. I love the graphics and the ability to build anywhere. There have been many bugs. I was locked out of the game for weeks after a reinstall was necessitated by a major issue. Minor bugs have been irritating, like storage chests and furniture falling through floors and mountains or teleporting below your house. Many of these issues have been fixed but I do feel the game was released too soon. I’ve restarted the game a bunch of times and I’ve lost a lot of progress in the game, but I’m still playing. I use the single player version. I see they have created more recipes in the game lately which is much needed. It would be nIce if I could spend the 100+ recipe pages I have amassed. It seems you reach a point and they become utterly useless. I hope the devs keep making improvements and fixes. I would like to request a repair all button. I don’t even use armor because I don’t want to waste time with constant repairs. I also don’t understand why parts of my house that are inaccessible to attackers need repair. Repairing should be much easier.

Good game, few issues.

As most people have been saying, this game has great potential and it’s overall a pretty fun game when played with friends, but of course there are a few issues as with every game. The game is extremely laggy at times, though I’m aware that can be a device issue it would be nice if that was somehow improved just a bit. The combat is also a bit stiff, but it doesn’t bother me too much. The building factor is really nice considering you can build wherever, but a lot of the time things clip through the ground and it’s hard to find an actual good spot to build. Overall, it’s a pretty great game, but I’m hoping the lagging and disconnection issues will be solved eventually. Seeing as the game hasn’t been updated in awhile is quite concerning, but I’m sure the developers just need time.

Please optimise your game. (Note inside)

(Note: read silvercgu11’s review, it was very detailed.) (Edit: Would do a closed beta before official release next time.) I can see the potential in this game (if) simplified and focus on combat and character/ combat customisation was better emphasised… I want to feel immersed (Think back to a game where you felt like there were vast possibilities.) Keep up the good work, keep focused. Pls optimise for some older phones, lag can be an issue. Pls’ add target locking options for combat, though the current system is decent. Pls’ don’t over monetise. Pls’ allow people to give an option to visit other lands via a “featured” land, with a review/ comment/ rating system that can be viewed before you enter each land. Pls’ adjust spawning and environment of monsters to feel more natural… and not a field with patches of monsters here and there (more immersive/ immersion pls’) Example: A large dark portal that one can enter/ “things” can come out of.

My honest review

The game as a whole is great and has a lot of potential, but it’s also has a lot of room for improvement which given that it’s a new game I’m sure we’ll see The open world is nice the art style is definitely nice the fighting it cool a nice selection of weaponary(could use more) but my real main and only problem with the game is the wait time to craft and make things just makes it less motivating or less want to continuously play and grind and explore because u can’t further the story at least in the beginning until u wait for certain things to grow or be done crafting and the only other problem which isn’t as serious because I know it’s probably coming is just the need for more cosmetics but other then that the game is great definitely worth a play at least

Dawnlands

Dawnlands gives you a new perspective on open world mobile play not only does this game have really good action a really good combat system and building system and great storyline. It brings it all together with unique characters. This game has a really nice difficulty setting It’s challenging, but not aggravating. be careful picking this one up. It has a plethora of different classes of armor systems and the unique takes on weapon systems as well. I give this game four stars only because it’s not compatible with the Backbone controller and as a man with big hands the controller would come in handy and be way more comfortable which will lead people to play for longer periods of time. So Dawnland creators get on it get that fifth star and make the game compatible with the Backbone controller big fan asking!!!!

Unfortunately Doesn’t Work
Tue Dec 24 2024 TSRinAustin

As much as I have played the game on mobile (iPhone), it feels like it would be best played on a computer. However, the Mac version doesn’t work: The game doesn’t recognize mouse or trackpad actions as movement input. Even things like scroll bars do not work. One can click on menu items etc., but left-clicking to move the camera doesn’t work. Also, they have mapped the “action” (or “hit”) key to mouse left-button, which means that every time you try to “look around” (necessary to move the character in the world) it also tries to hit something. And move. (Characters shouldn’t move when just viewing…) Anyway, this feels like a port of the Mobile game that wasn’t QA’d or even tested for playability before being released in the Mac App Store. Developer: When you fix these super-basic issues, and the game can actually be played, I will change the rating from 1 star to the 5 it deserves.
