Our Expert Score

90/100

#DRIVE Rally is a love letter to the golden era of off-road racing. It perfectly captures that 90s aesthetic—not just in the low-poly but highly detailed cars, but in the entire vibe of the game. The handling model strikes a fantastic balance between arcade accessibility and the technical skill required to drift through a muddy corner. It feels fast, raw, and incredibly stylish.

The 'Co-Driver' system is a standout feature. Unlike the clinical instructions in other sims, the co-drivers here have actual personalities that react to your driving, adding a layer of charm and humor to the intense races. The garage is full of '90s beasts' that are a joy to customize and drive. Whether you're flying through a Finnish forest or kicking up dust in the desert, the game looks and sounds fantastic. It’s a high-octane nostalgia trip that plays beautifully on mobile.

Good but a few things
Fri Dec 19 2025 Almost “#drive rally”

Okay, to start off, this game is amazing, it captures a lot of great things and shows a lot of iconic rally cars, BUT it lacks a lot of features that are normally a big part in rally, 1 is that the game is dead, it’s just you and your car and coach, besides that there is nothing, maybe try adding crowds that move and get out of the way of the car like art of rally or simply add people on the side, 2 is that the handling is extremely op, I can go off track and instantly recover with only 3 seconds waisted, maybe add like less grip like in real rally, speaking of that brings me to 4 right now it doesn’t seem like rally because when I watch rally people crash a lot or clip they’re bumper off, this game doesn’t catch any type of damage or crash because it just made the coach say some random goofy voice lines like, “we’ve seen worse” or something like that and lastly, 5 it lacks a lot of things that make rally cool like jumps and other things also their should be night races so you can see how fast your reaction time and maybe weather settings

Definition of Casual Rallying!
Thu Dec 11 2025 TheTankRamos

I’ve followed this game ever since it got revealed about two years ago and I just wished it would come to mobile. Well here it is and I’ve gotta say it’s a straight up love letter to the casual racer, but it took me a while to understand that. I’m used to simulator type rally games and this is as arcade as it gets. The cars have unlimited grip and you can blast through sometimes the tightest of corners like nobodies business while never really losing control of the car. Most rally games have that barrier of entry to them but this game makes the motorsport experience of rally a lot more exciting, enjoyable and accessible for a casual player to pick up and enjoy while seeing some really well made and beautiful stages that are all connected within their own freeroam maps, while driving some of the most iconic customizable cars that made rally what it is today and some other interesting options too! Now that’s pretty sweet! This is a fantastic arcade racer to just turn your brain off and when in doubt, flat out!

4.5 Stars: Great arcade style rally game!

I’ve been wanting a Sega Rally style racing game for mobile for quite a long time, and when I first heard about Drive Rally, I was hoping it would come to mobile. I love the graphic style and the friendly racing engine and controls. I also like that you can try before you buy. I like the car upgrades as you progress as well. UPDATE: Less than five days after my request for a virtual steering wheel control option, it was added, and it works great. Thanks so much! The next improvement needed is adjustable layouts for controls and the ability to resize or increase the button sizes. But thanks for the quick work there! And it would be great to have a better visual indicator on screen for upcoming turns that shows right 1, or left 2, or left square, etc. It’s hard to drive and look down for the captions for the turns if the volume is lowered for various reasons. Already at a 4.5 now, but please consider these ideas and I would gladly go five stars. Thanks!

Add control customization and fix physics

The buttons are small and sometimes don’t respond to you pressing them which really messes up the experience when you are trying to brake or turn and it doesn’t work. This wouldn’t be an issue if you could make the buttons larger, but as far as I could see there is no way to do so. The physics of the vehicles are also very inaccurate and different from every other rally game. I have played many rally games on all types of platforms, including other mobile rally games, and the controls/physics of this game is the least satisfying. If these issues are fixed, I think there is a lot of potential here. But it’s NOT WORTH THE MONEY as of right now.

Great Game

It’s A great game. Graphics are awesome i love the vibe. The only issues i have is no button customization for controls and also some ui elements overlay other ones. Also would be great to have a career mode and pick the car you want and upgrade as you go but the game plays great and looks great and is super addicting

Spectacular

3.6 star rating is criminal. Haven’t even bought the full game and have spent at least 5 hours on it. People who complain about the small buttons are obviously playing on an iPhone 5. Only complaint is that there’s no clear garage tab.

Amazing game, glad there’s a iOS version

I have the game on Steam and it’s amazing, but I wish I could play it anywhere. I usually don’t bring my steam deck so it’s great to have this game on my phone. Honestly amazing I don’t understand the low ratings tho.

Controls

Absolutely atrocious. Buttons are so unbelievably small, and if you don’t tap them with pinpoint precision it won’t register. You’ll be lucky to turn or brake 10% of the time when you try to touch the button. How do you not include an option to customize the placement and size of touch screen buttons when you release a TOUCH SCREEN game? Completely unplayable as it stands now. Also no visual indicator of turns coming up. So if you’re trying to play without sound, good luck
