Cut The Buttons is an addictive, physics-based arcade game where you control a pair of scissors with two fingers. Scraps of fabric with buttons are tossed into the air, and your goal is to cut them off before they fall. Be careful not to cut the bolts! Catch the buttons in your bucket to earn bonus points and extra lives. With its unique control scheme and satisfying 'snip' action, it's a cut above the rest.

Cut The Buttons is a tactile delight. It’s a simple arcade game that turns your fingers into a pair of virtual scissors, tasking you with cutting buttons off falling scraps of fabric. It sounds mundane, but the execution is incredibly satisfying. The physics of the falling fabric and the 'snip' of the scissors provide a level of sensory feedback that is rare in mobile games.
It’s a great game for building dexterity, and the 'Bucket' mechanic adds a layer of strategy—you have to catch the falling buttons in a cup to earn extra points. The graphics are clean and colorful, and the gameplay is easy enough for anyone to pick up but challenging enough to master. It’s a perfect 'coffee break' game that makes great use of the multi-touch display.

Tips & Walkthrough
Place your thumb and index finger on the screen to control the scissors. Move them together in a pinching motion to snip. Practice your aim to cut multiple buttons in a single swipe for massive combo points.
Gameplays
Cutting the buttons is only half the battle. Tilt your device or slide the bucket to catch the buttons as they fall. Every 100 buttons caught grants you an extra life or a point multiplier.

Sat Jan 31 2026 NjschicaBack then people couldn’t recognize peak. I loved and still love this game. Highly underrated and please DO NOT listen to the low ratings, cause again, they didnt recognize peak game design.. the attention to detail with the sound design is beautiful, the mechanics are unique and aren’t seen in any other mobile game, and its just super fun over all. And maybe perhaps back then it might’ve been hard to play cause phones used to be super tiny, but now it’s of decent size and it’s perfect to play. I saw a review saying they don’t make it so left handed players can play, but that is a feature in this game! Maybe that feature wasn’t available when that review was made? 🤷 But yeah I 100% recommend this to anyone looking for a game to cure their boredom !

It’s really awesome and you guys really worked hard on this games and I always stare at the details and I liked the sound a lot it’s very satisfying. This must be the best game ever, it’s so unique and different from other games. I really hope that everyone would like this game!
Needs Improvements
Wed Jun 13 2012 incinerationwith eye-candy graphics and smooth animation it's very pleasing to the eye but the gameplay is not as pleasing as it seems. there's not enough room for three fingers on screen and it's easy to miss buttons. the arcade mode is fun but missing three buttons in the classic mode ends the game, so the game finishes too fast and ruins the fun. better controls for iPhone, more game modes as well as an online head-to-head multiplayer game, powerups such as slow time, electric blades, etc. as well as Game Center achievements are what this game needs to become a worthy game for iPhone owners. i'm sure it gets 5 stars for the iPad version but the best rating i can give this game is three.

Mon Feb 06 2012 albiokayA shinning example of innovation in multitouch interactive mobile gaming. This really has one of those "perfect games for the iPhone/iPod touch" vibe to it. It's accessible, it's pick up n play, and it makes great use of the capabilities of the touch screen, particular with the use of multitouch. I do have to agree with a few of the complaints however. Yes, it is rather uncomfortable to play on the tiny iPhone/iPod screen, but I imagine this wouldn't be a problem on the iPad. There are a few issues with the multitouch detection as well, particularly in loosing hold of the scissors or the basket, but again, this is probably due to the cramped screen and would most likely be resolved on the iPad. Another issue is that it's lacking more gameplay options, which can be remedied with a few updates :) Overall though, a really great, polished, and incredibly innovative title!

Thu Jun 14 2012 StingjcI love the idea for this game. Using the multitouch screen to control a pair of scissors is a great idea for a game. But the execution was a bit lacking. While it's not really the fault of the developers, the iPhone or iPod touch is not suitable for this type of multitouch gaming. The screen is entirely too small to use the scissors efficiently. But my largest problem with the game was that there was no point. I played it a handful of times before realizing that I was only ever trying to get a high score. Now, if there had been a puzzle aspect to it or even a few achievements to shoot for, it might have motivated me to play more. But as it is, the game is so-so.

Thu Feb 09 2012 SongSquirrelMy friend in school showed me this game. It's pretty good, but a little hard cuz the scissors are hard to hold. I wish that you could just slash the buttons off like in fruit ninja, but the cutting is ok... It would be better on an iPad rather than on an iPhone or iPod otherwise, u may get Carple tunnel syndrome or arthritis.... The scissors r just so freaking small! I don't even see the point of the basket either, and I don't really like the electric buttons. If u miss a button, its strike one... Just because u hit an electric button doesnt mean u have 2 get -5 pts! But I guess that's the point of the game...
