Good except for one thing

Addicting game, but there is one issue. When you complete a word it moves to the next word and places the yellow cursor over the next open letter in the word. That is perfect. However, when you tap on a clue to manually move to another word, it places the cursor at the start of the word even if the first letter is occupied and when you only need to type the remaining letters you inevitably end up typing over the existing letter. This happens to me regularly and it’s frustrating

Insane Biased Ads!

Don’t get me wrong I enjoy this game a lot. My problem is now I have to sit through ads that are blatantly in your face biased politically? Political ads have no place in gaming in every gamers eyes no matter what you affiliate yourself with. And before you say it’s cuz it’s calling us MAGA people extremists of course that’s the reason! Even if it was calling the other side extremists I’d be saying the same thing here cuz it’s political ad. I as a gamer do not want to see that crap in my games. I don’t care for being called extremist on my games as well seeing that word comes from unintelligent people who listen too much to news programs which come from unintelligent people who don’t know their jobs. Honestly if something bad is being said on any side of the aisle I have an issue with it since it divides people. Division between fellow people in the country I live in is unwelcome. We will see how many I can sit thru before I uninstall or hopefully see those kinds of ads taken down. I enjoy this game so I really hope to see those gone.

In general, the puzzles are good, but their content quality control is quite low. There are often errors and inconsistent formatting in the clues. However, this time was the worst I’ve seen. I solved the crossword correctly but it said it was incorrect. I couldn’t figure out where. So I used 50 points to get the letters and it replaced one of the words with not only a completely unrelated answer to the (horizontal) clue but one that also invalidated every one of the related vertical words. When presented to them they agreed that it was an error on their side, apologized but would not refund or credit the points used to reveal their error saying they had no way to do it. However since points can be bought they have to have a way to credit points to people when there are issues or Apple would remove them from the store.

Annoying pop up

BEWARE! I have been playing this and enjoying it for months with no problem until recently. I was solving the puzzle for October 4 when ad for McAfee popped up. I closed it and it popped up again. Then it started popping up in other apps, as well. I was able to stop the pop up in settings and deleted the app. Everything was fine after that, but i missed the puzzles. I reasoned that I was playing this for months with no problem so I reloaded it, thinking the problem was elsewhere. The introductory puzzles were fine, but when I reached the October 4 puzzle, McAfee was back, popping up constantly. My problem was clearly with this app. I deleted the app, cleared everything in settings and have not had a problem since. Use this app with caution.

They must fix the candy crush ad that won’t close!!

For a good 6 months now I’ve been getting this bizarre flashing/glitching candy crush ad WHILST IN THE MIDDLE OF A GAME! There’s an X in the top right corner but it’s not tappable. The ad won’t close. You have to force quit the game app completely and then go back in to resume the puzzle. BUT then it just keeps coming back! It comes in slowly from the right side of the screen at a gradual pace while flashing/glitching and then it stops flashing and becomes a normal ad but it never stops and cannot be closed. Sometimes I can’t even complete a puzzle no matter how many times I close out and go back in. I’ve been in contact with the developers numerous times but it’s still happening. Using iPhone with iOS 15.0

Don’t waste your time

Pretty funny how the game glitches out when it’s on a puzzle that you can earn coin in. The easy puzzles that you don’t earn coin in work fine. I’ve had three puzzles open and finished that says something is wrong and they won’t complete and spent the hard to get coin to even check them and they just add random letters where you have to go and replace them with the letters that you had previously and still doesn’t complete. They are just hoping you’ll just keep using the hints that cost coin until you have to buy coin. There’s better crosswords out there. I don’t believe half of these reviews. Probably from the team that created the app.

I used to love this app

This used to be such a great crossword app! I didn't mind the occasional ads that would come up, but now there's a bizarre flashing/glitchy advertisment for candy crush that pops up constantly and had no way to close the ad (the X comes up in the far corner of the screen and can't be tapped). Initially I could just force quit the app and go back in. Now it comes up every time I try to resume the puzzle, so I can no longer do the crossword at all. It's a shame because I really loved this crossword app. I'll give the company a week or two to fix the issue, but after that I'll have to uninstall and try a different option.

Intrusive ad took over the app

The vulgar candy crush ad that takes over the screen has rendered this app unusable. Having pop up ads is one thing, but this WAY is too intrusive and a bad faith gimmick to react by having us pay for the ad-free setup. Undo the Musk-like move because we are actively migrating to other apps that are just as free and often with better features, and we’re making sure it’s from a different developer / company too. I used to play daily and sometimes several times a day, but it’s going in the bin for now, I’ll check back in a month. I have given it time but that awful ad not going away.
