Lots of choice//Very entertaining

Though I've not played on-line, I find this a good way to pass the time for someone who learned the game years ago. With the flexibility of settings (difficulty, count hands, play muggins, etc.) this is a game for novice & advanced alike. I'm still trying to get my wife to use it to learn the game. An update: my wife is still not interested but I still enjoy the app to pass the time. I do occasionally check the "hint." It doesn't seem to recognize the value of a flush-- 4 points nor the value of keeping touching cards in the hand when discarding to the crib. An update: Keep up the good work. Really like this game to pass the time and keep the brain cells lubed!

Awesome game, but one fatal flaw

Great game and after playing it thousands of times over the last few years I can attest that the cards dealt are really, truly random. Sometimes the game will get a suspiciously awesome hand but then again sometimes so will the player. Everything seems to fit within statistical bounds. The difference between easy and hard games is not what is dealt - it’s that the game will make stupid plays sometimes on the easier levels such as not playing the third card of a straight or leading with a 5. This would be worth a five star rating, but: If you ever have to reset your device or replace it with a new one then you will lose your history, including your Level. I had worked my way up to Level 60-something over the last few years with an awesome set of stats. Then I had to reset my iPad and am now at Level 1 with nothing but 0’s on my stat board. Looked on the help tab and got this: “Unfortunately, your player level is currently only stored locally on your device. It will not sync to another device, and we cannot currently transfer your level to a new device or restore it if you reset your device or otherwise lose your game data. We apologize for this inconvenience”. Really?! What’s the point of having me logged in to Game Center? That’s a one star deal right there. Maybe zero. I think I’m being generous averaging this into a 3 star review...

Once great game that is continuing to slide down hill.

Like many of the trivial technology / wildcard games one of the main selling points has been the ability for multiple people to play when not connected to data service. While their peer to peer function has been plagued by bugs, when it worked it made this developer game outshine the rest. As of the latest notifications from the developer it seems that all offline multiplayer play is being removed! Indeed it seems that only negative development is occurring on these once outstanding products. Early testing to see how the online play will work has been a worse failure then in prior issue with peer to peer. My wife and I were never able to get it to work. When they finally kill of peer to peer, we will be looking for another vendor or just returning to actual cards.

Crashes and doesn't load turns.

The app was great before the most recent OS update for iPhone and iPad. Now shifting between multiple turned base games is re-invented and takes too many clicks. Also the turn notification (audio) is terrible and if you turn it off you don't ever know it's your turn unless you stare at the screen waiting. Game was great, now it's ok. I not sure why change is always necessary when things work fine already. Additionally For the past several months when I create or accept a turn based game with my friend we cut the same card when seeing who deals first. Not the same number but the exact same card. Like two 2 of hearts. I reported this a few months ago and nothing. The entire reason I have this app is to continue playing cribbage with a friend that I used to live near. Now it’s become unreliable and erroneous. When will you fix this issue?

Great game and very simple interface.

Very easy to use and worth the money to play with people. I’d love to see more options for personalization to make it more entertaining/maybe achievements where you unlock certain cribbage boards or decks of cards. Also wish there was a feature to either pause the game if you need to send a text message or if there was an option to make it like words with friends where one player sends a move and then the next player sends a move so the game doesn’t have to be played out immediately. All around great app as it is. There’s just lots of room for bonus features that could make it even more fun than it already is!

Well made cribbage game

Thank you for a well thought out game that doesn’t seem to stack the deck. The last cribbage app I used seemed ridiculously stacked. I like that you can play against the iPod. I also like that you can get hints. I’m not a bad player, but there are hands that I don’t know the best play by odds, so it’s nice to learn what to do with them. The only thing I wish was different, is when playing cards from your hand, the last card disappears too quickly from view. Not a big deal, just giving feedback of my preference.

Vast improvement

I have been using this app for the better part of eight years to play cribbage with my dad. I don’t know what they did with this new update but it is now like playing in real time! There were no crashes, no exceedingly long wait times after a card was played or dealt. I even noticed the chat function now works. Most surprising, a game usually takes 45 minutes to an hour to finish. Last night we were done in 30 minutes and had time for a second game. Nice job!

Great Game to play

I have enjoyed playing cribbage. So far there are no problems with the app. It allows you to play with friends, random players or the computer. You can count or the computer can count for you and muggins are offered to play or not. I really like this version with its capabilities. I have played with in all options offered and have had a few problems playing with friends (hence the four stars) but was able to finally work out the problems and connect. I recommend this app if you want to play in any situation. If playing with friends just be a little patient and it will work out!
