Cornsweeper is exactly the kind of game the App Store needs more of. It takes a formula we all know—Minesweeper—and strips away the Windows 95 'anxiety' factor, replacing it with a cozy, lo-fi vibe that makes you want to curl up with a blanket. The sound of the popcorn popping is incredibly satisfying, and the handcrafted levels ensure that the difficulty curve feels intentional rather than just random.
I particularly love the 'The Stall' mechanic where you can buy items to customize your experience. It gives the game a sense of progression that the original Minesweeper lacked.
