Our Expert Score

85/100

CookieRun: Crumble - Idle RPG captures everything fans love about Devsisters' whimsical world and repackages it into a sleek, wonderfully accessible automated adventure. Visually, the game bursts with personality—the crisp character designs, expressive skill animations, and adorable dessert lore make every new Cookie unlock feel like a genuine reward. By stripping away the high-maintenance upkeep of traditional action gachas, Crumble leans heavily into the pure satisfaction of passive progression and team optimization.

Underneath its colorful exterior lies a surprisingly satisfying tactical framework. Synergizing frontline tanks, high-burst elemental mages, and supportive healers around specific treasure buffs creates real depth when attempting to overcome difficult campaign walls. While stage quest repetition can get a bit grindy in later chapters, the generous AFK rewards ensure that casual players can continuously make steady daily gains. It is a polished, low-stress idle game that serves as a fantastic entry point for the franchise and a perfect secondary mobile title.

Devsis thinks of everything!

Honestly for a game so simple the humor is great and my favorite part might just be the chat feature especially since everyone is so nice! The rewards may seem like a lot but the game is designed so it doesn't come rushing in. The characters are super cute and they're even mentioning some people never really talk about which gives them a chance for some love too! The deals are nice and being F2P isn't taxing at all. Also the art is amazing and the writing is very thought out without being over the top for an idle game. At first I thought I'd only be playing this for Cookie Run Kingdom rewards because of the collab but this game is VERY promising. I have no idea how Devsis keeps up lol

Do. Not. Play. This. Game.

This game is not worth your time. There is no gameplay. All you will do in this game is spend 10 different kinds of currency raising stats you will never track. This game is the epitome of brain rot. There are flashing lights and bright colors in the middle of your screen, then a bunch of red dots on various buttons all around your screen to drive you insane. The amount of times this game pesters you to watch ads for rewards is insufferable. There’s an ad on the side of your screen, there’s sometimes a flying present on your screen, there’s something trying to get you to go to the gacha. Don’t even get me started on the red reward ad icons… The game attempts to make itself look innocent by employing meta/self aware humor to itself, but it falls flat once you realize that it’s really not a joke! The mercenary trio characters are insufferable as hell. I hope the entire trio are never imported in any significant way into the other games. Don’t let the pretty colors fool you, Devsisters is reusing tons of assets from Ovenbreak and Kingdom in this game because they probably knew this was a sinking ship even when developing it. They made this game to farm day 1 whales and krakens. After the Crumble events end in the other games or people finish them, this game will become a wasteland of people with sunk cost fallacy. Devsisters, stop making these pointless games. If you play this game for the event, make sure to uninstall it as soon as you’re done. You’ll be doing your brain cells a service.

need auto / quick way to do quests

I love this game and it’s truly very fun for me to play. However, it gets really annoying having to do hundreds of repeated quests over and over again. It’s especially bothersome that some features of the game are locked simply because you haven’t completed the quest. For example, I could be on level 10-30, but because I’ve fallen behind in quests, I can’t unlock a certain portion of the game that needs me to have completed 10-30 simply because I’m stuck on the quest for 6-30 as I have no motivation to keep clicking and clicking and clicking on each individual quest. I propose some way to auto-complete quests if you’ve reached a certain crumble level. If this is changed up, I’d love to give this game 5 stars. I’m also sure that many other players would agree with this. Thank you for your time.

Fun from the minute you start playing

I just downloaded the game, thinking I’ll uninstall it since I only want the CRK rewards. The game was actually interesting, the tutorial was quick and moving on to collecting the cookies and such was so much fun. They really put thought into such a niche concept. The only problem is that I’ll probably feel embarrassed if people see me playing this game, as it really feels like a mobile game, which will give people the idea that I’m brainless 😭

Very idle

It’s an actually idle game. You don’t necessarily engage with the cookies like you do in Kingdom, but you just upgrade, collect pets, gacha, and complete missions. I’ll give it a 4.0/5 stars just because I find Kingdom way more enjoyable. I know it has more content based on how many years it has been going strong, and this is their new game, I still think they thought everything through, from creating something new, different graphics, new cookies, and to it being a fun idle game. You are amazing devsisters. Thank you to everyone who worked hard on this game, it’s fun!

Would love a friend system to be added

I’m absolutely loving this game and it’s relatively f2p as long as you save up and don’t spam your tickets. Progressing through the game isn’t so bad as long as you have good team building. The only real gripe I have with the game is that I can’t friend my friends who are also playing this game and see some of their progress like what level their in or what their strongest cookies are. I think it would be really nice to have some of that.

It is Different

This game is a little different than a few of the other cookie run games I have played. While you meet a lot of the same cookies again, the format of the game is good. I like the game play and the progression. My only issue is, I wish there was a way to turn off the chat so it is not always present on my screen. I understand this is a social game as they are popular but I find it really distracting that it is always present.

super fun, slight repetitive

I really like the game so far. It’s one really big crackpost of a game that doesn’t take itself seriously, but has interesting characters at the same time! The game does get repetitive after some time and the autosummon boss feature doesn’t always work, but you can always find something to do since rewards are pretty easy to get! My poor sugar gnome has seen better days, thank you for working through my 500+ lucky dough i got from the dungeons.
