Color Spreads is a minimalist's dream when it comes to puzzle games. It’s based on a simple 'flood fill' or 'expansion' mechanic where you have to cover a board in color using specific blocks. The beauty lies in the constraints—you only have a certain number of moves or specific directions the color can flow. It’s very meditative, especially with the clean aesthetic and the soft sound effects that accompany each successful spread.

The difficulty curve is excellently paced. It introduces new mechanics, like blockages or multi-color blending, just as you start to master the previous levels. It’s the kind of game that is perfect for 'brain training' because it requires you to visualize the entire board's solution before you make your first tap. It's ad-supported, but the puzzles are engaging enough that it never feels like a chore to play.

Visualize the Flow

Before you tap, look at the arrows on the nodes. These indicate the direction the color will spread. Try to find the 'Corner nodes' first, as filling the edges makes the center much easier to solve.

In later levels, you can overlap colors to create new shades. Use this to solve puzzles that require a specific 'mixed' color to fill a certain zone of the board.

Game slowed and crashed

The game slowed and crashed at only level 2. I know it’s not a processing issue on my end as I’m on an iPhone 13. Too many ads as well, and the reward system for watching ads doesn’t work and it doesn’t give you the reward. Would be an alright game without ads.

The game tends to crash for no reason. There’s also way to many adds so instead of being greedy and probably making people waste their time specially children cut down on some of the ads because I bet you would get at least 3 and a half stars. Also what’s with the game getting slower and slower over time. I know it’s not my problem because I have a iPhone 12 max and I have 5G net work with a router right next to me. I tried this game on my pc and I got a virus and it almost caused my pc to overheat and burn me, It almost burned me cause when I touched it the pc was so hot that it felt like someone put a over on top of my pc. Developer make your game a little better because I bet you would make more people have enjoyable time but yet still making money/profit off of it.

this is obviously a very new game and i find it quite nice aside from a few things. it doesn't have an offline mode so you get 0$ from having the app closed. the second thing is the shapes. at first it goes very fast and you get a lot of money but then it slows down at the end when they have to reach a further distance to the point that it's horrendously boring.

Now dev, don’t go on about how your game works and I shall contact you because I am not talking to a bot. This game is most likely using kids to earn ad revenue and to get them to stay in their game. The game data doesn’t save when you close the app and randomly asks you to restart the game and lose your data?? I have no idea how people play this.

Game has problems and isnt fun

the game is boring and fast with making money, if the game was harder, less ads and getting a reward when you watch a ad. when i started playing this i saw a reward screen to watch a ad to get 999B, i watched a ad about 5-6 times and never got any thing. and i dont know how the game has great ratings and reviews for a game thats not good.

So the first chest I reached had a reward of 999B, I felt like I won the lottery but when I watched the ad I walked out with nothing. I tried the second time with the ad twice and the same happened, please fix this.

It’s obviously a cash grab, as there’s no substance to the game. It doesn’t have to many ads, but the gameplay could be so much better. As it’s just a ball bouncing on blocks, you can finish the game relatively fast and then there’s nothing afterword. Wouldn’t recommend.

Only 1 level which takes about 2 minutes to complete (5-10 minutes if you include ads). Then it repeats the same level. Lots of ads appear while you’re playing.
