Improve game performance.
Color Island is a breath of fresh air in the crowded pixel art genre. Most coloring apps feel like a static chore, but here, your creativity actually builds something tangible. As you complete intricate pixel paintings, you populate and grow your own unique island. It transforms a simple 'paint-by-number' mechanic into a meaningful progression system that feels both rewarding and deeply therapeutic.
The UI is incredibly intuitive, making it a perfect 'zen' game for winding down after a long day. The inclusion of 'paint boosters'—which allow you to fill connected pixels of the same color instantly—removes the frustration of hunting for tiny stray squares. It’s a wonderful blend of mindfulness and light strategy that keeps you engaged without ever feeling stressed.
Thousands of black-and-white pixel artworks
Interactive island-building progression
Time-saving paint booster mechanics
Offline play available for on-the-go relaxation
To advance to a new island, focus on completing 'Key Objects' first. These grant the highest amount of happiness points needed to clear the fog and reveal new areas of your map.
When dealing with large monochromatic areas, double-tap a number to activate the booster. This will instantly fill all adjacent pixels of the same number, saving time and focus.
No, once the artworks are downloaded, you can color and build your island entirely offline.
This game is really addicting for me and really fun. I have not even completed the first island and I have spent hours playing because of how fun it is and I feel like I’m actually getting to color something and do something productive in the time that I’m thinking about stuff and I have time to think about one of those things because how long in your face we have to remember numbers or request or whatever do something fun quietly as possible and be able to just think about stuff I’ve been really stressed lately and been meaning to think about stuff on and all throughout so even having a time limit of five minutes to think is a lot for me so it being able to play a game when I’m bored is it actually really fun for me and it’s probably the greatest thing I could do this time, so thank you for making the game any money there is a bit of money you can spend if you were the one but it’s not something bad and mandatory if you’re a person like me that doesn’t just spend all their money on trying to rush through a game that I like games like this where I can just relax and think so great game keep it up
The game itself is awesome but I’m not sure their events are worth it since they are short. 1. Event currency is quite limited and earning them requires you to fill in so many spaces. So far I’ve only gotten one per each time I’ve got the event currency. 2. The multiplier is limited for it too for some reason you can only watch an ad once to multiply the event currency then you have to wait until the timer runs out (it’s like 4 hours long). Only the event stuff does ads like this usually you can multiply any time it comes up and there’s ads available. 3. The event images only give coins which while helpful to get the images that aren’t event images it’s quite unhelpful for actually being the currency since you only get 1 most of the time if you can’t get 2 with an ad. And you have to use your event currency to even start the event. In my opinion if you actually want to finish the events you’d need to both wait since the prizes for coloring 2000 squares refreshes every like hour to get one back and 4 hours to regain all 4 and possibly even spend money since the ad things 4 hours so you can only get 2 every time you finish up to all 4 and all 4 refreshes. You’d also probably need to lack sleep in order to get enough to try and finish the event. Otherwise if you only do event stuff because you end up getting the currency and don’t care about completing it then it’s fun.
Everything in this game ends up too satisfying, addicting and beautiful. I love how when you finish the first island, the result looks so good! And I looked at a few reviews that say there’s bugs and lags. There are no bugs for me though. (Maybe it’s because my device can handle it) there are not that much ads, it lasts a really long time and it’s awesome. The creators of this game are really creative. There’s something that could be added to the game that I just came up with. (It’s just for fun. It’s not needed but, just a little suggestion) right next to special lands button, there could be a bonus land button. Where you can make your own pictures out of the pixels! You could choose how big the platform, pixels and the picture. You could get creative. Anyways, this game is absolutely the best I hope you think about this suggestion. Bye!
This game is really good and is what it says it is. The issue is you can’t always play the game without experiencing some issues. They can be as simple as small lag spikes to something as big as wiping your save data and sending you right back to the start (this has happened twice). There a three big issues with the game. Firstly, the bug that erases your progress. Then there’s the constant lag spikes that may make you wait for a few seconds, wait for 30 seconds, crash the game and force a reload (which has the chance to make you lose some progress on your current drawing or cause the bug or whatever it is that erases your save). I think these lag spikes may occur when a new banner ad loads at the bottom of the screen. Lastly, the game will drain your battery quickly (I’d recommend adding a battery saver feature of some sort if possible). I would like to Finnish this off by saying that my phone is not very old and has had no trouble loading/processing everything I’ve thrown at it before. I’ve also seen other people complaining about these issues in reviews, so I know it’s not just me. I really do hope this game gets fixed because it is a good game.
Hi, I just real quickly want to say something you should fix about the game. Don’t get me wrong it’s a great game it is really fun and relaxing and I pick my phone up a lot just to play it and it’s pretty addictive I play it a lot and I really enjoy it but I just want you to know when you have colored all the fun stuff like the bunny and the home you will end up with a bunch of bushes for us to color and they all have the same colors and they look the same the only good thing is that some of them will give you up to 15 🙂 but it is not fun to sit there for 40 minutes just to color a bush I mean it’s kinda silly to just sit there and color a bush the other thing is that the extra platforms are all the same they are like just making a copy of one thing with this one little difference. I hope you think about this and make some changes in the next update because I don’t want to be coloring bushes and platforms any more
I love this game. Obviously it has its problems as all games do. Lag spikes are a common one but the game tries to do a lot at once so these spikes are understandable and often just takes a few seconds of waiting. My biggest problem with this game is the ads. Now it’s a free game therefore ads are expected. The ads aren’t even that often and are reasonably built into the game’s system (like watching an ad for a color bomb) but the ads themselves are the problem. The ads that play are annoying and should be checked by the devs. Every single ad I’ve gotten in this game, it is literally impossible to hit the x button. It’s so small and I’m honestly convinced it doesn’t actually do anything. I’m stuck on playing in airplane mode or re-launching the game once or twice after every ad. I love this game and as it’s a free game, so ads are perfectly fine to have but please for the love of everything let me exit out of the ad without re-launching.
I’ve been looking for a good color by number game that wasn’t too tedious or annoying to try and complete and this is the best one i’ve ever found. Not only are the ads totally accurate (unlike most games nowadays), the game is really fun! You get to make a whole island of stuff you paint! The colors once they’re filled in properly cannot be colored back over and messed up so being messy with the coloring isn’t an issue! It’ll take you to the pixels you’re missing so there’s no aimlessly searching for the 2 missing pixels like other games. The things you color aren’t extremely crazy or hard to do either! All the run ins with the pop up ads on this game also haven’t been too bad. Nothing like others where you can’t do anything without an ad first. Overall. Great game. If I wasn’t broke i’d go premium too to support the game makers. Quality stuff here. Definitely recommend.
I think I need to uninstall this app since I can’t play it without get nauseous and getting a headache but I know that’s bc of my photosensitivity. High contrast grid patterns like the number grid have a tendency to make me sick and for some reason this game in particular does though other color by number games haven’t. But if you aren’t photosensitive in this particular manner it’s a good game. Simple UI, interesting concept of finishing world by coloring the pieces that make it up, and not too excessive with ads. There are some cons. The daily rewards are definitely exclusive to people with enough time on their hands but that’s expected for these games. Other people have experienced a multitude of bugs and lag (but personally I haven’t). Sometimes the graphic style of one piece is wildly different from another in the same world which I find off putting. But overall it’s a solid and relaxing color by numbers game.
