Clash Royale is a masterclass in mobile game design. By blending card collection with real-time tower defense, Supercell created a competitive environment that is easy to understand but incredibly difficult to master. The three-minute matches are perfect for mobile play, providing intense bursts of strategy.
The constant updates and seasonal content keep the meta evolving, though it can be a bit of a grind for free-to-play players to keep up with card levels. However, the satisfaction of perfectly timing a 'Log' to wipe out an army or seeing your 'Prince' land a final charge on a tower is unmatched in the genre. It's a polished, vibrant, and highly addictive competitive experience.
Real-time 1v1 and 2v2 battles against players worldwide
Earn chests to unlock rewards and collect powerful new cards
Construct your ultimate Battle Deck to defeat your opponents
Progress through multiple Arenas all the way to the top
Join or form a Clan to share cards and participate in Clan Wars
The most common mistake is overspending Elixir early. Always try to play reactively; let your opponent commit troops first so you can counter them for a positive Elixir trade.
A strong deck needs a 'win condition' (like a Giant or Hog Rider), defensive cards, and spells. Make sure your average Elixir cost stays between 3.0 and 4.0 for optimal cycle speed.
Clans allow you to request cards from other players, participate in Clan Wars for big rewards, and practice in friendly battles.
The first time I heard about it I was so excited for this one because the second episode is the best episode in a series and the third one I have to wait till next week for a while and it’s been like that all year I just don’t get excited because the third season has a whole bunch and the first season was the last season was the third season was so long I just want you guys in a better way I love the new episode but it’s just not good I don’t think I have to do this for the second episode and it’s a good thing that we all get a lot done I just think it will make a great story but I’m really happy about this show because it just happened so I just wanted it just feels so exciting I hope you’re all set up to make a little something else that we have been saying goodbye I just don’t think I don’t want it I love the second season was just in my heart goes into a it’s not a good thing about the last season I don’t want that is it is it is it just doesn’t matter if I just wanted it doesn’t make it just don’t be sorry if I don’t want anything to me is what you know that means so yeah it’s not that you don’t have any sense and I’m not mad I love the show and I’m not like you don’t want anything I love it but I’m like I’m like I’m just trying and you just like I’m like yeah it’s like I’m not really that kind and you just kind and I’m just saying like you just like I’m like oh you just like you just know how much.
I have a love/hate relationship with this game but it is still my single favorite mobile game. However, the matchmaking in War is beyond broken. Probably half the time, I am playing decks with an average level 2-3 higher than mine. I’m not sure that I have ever written a game review but I am hoping Supercell’s developers hear enough reviews like this to actually make a change. It is all but impossible to overcome a deck with all level 13 when you have a mix of 10 and 11. It’s gotten to the point that I usually just quit as soon as it becomes obvious that the person I am playing against isn’t terrible because I just have nearly 0% chance to win otherwise. Not only do they have better cards typically, I will go and check the player profile afterwards and they often have many more trophies than I do. You know a matchmaking system is broken when you are consistently outgunned and compete against players with higher achievements/skill in the game. I really can’t make sense of the matchmaking algorithm. I am sure they put a ton of work into it but it is about as bad as it gets. This is only in reference to war. Single player matchmaking is actually pretty good. As background, I actually play 6 accounts ranging from 4300 trophies on my lowest to a high of 5800 on my best account. The only reason I even play war is to get points for my clan and because I don’t want to let them down. I HATE having to play war and definitely wouldn’t if I wasn’t in a clan. Supercell, PLEASE FIX.
When it comes to clash Royale I have been playing for quite some time now and what I have seen in terms of progression is that it’s very challenging to get level 14 cards, and I understand that you did this on purpose because they are so powerful. But when I think of progressing the one thing that helped me get my cards to higher levels faster and easier was the pass Royale. The pass allowed me to win around 50 matches in each season and I would then earn enough crowns to get pretty far in which then unlocked tons of chests and wildcards and if I decided to play even more it even granted me a few legendary cards. But with the latest update you guys have made the diamond pass. I think that the diamond pass ruins progression for free to play users because it simply made it so you guys had to also nerf the gold pass and the rewards that you unlock for free and you even made it harder to progress to the free rewards by merging the tiers. When I think of a battle pass I think of fortnite or apex legends where they separate the free rewards and the payed rewards so you can see everything you can get and it’s the same to progress the payed and the free versions. This is exactly how you used to do it so who’s to say you couldn’t make a 3rd separation and have 3 lines showcasing each of the rewards for the gold and diamond pass? I believe this would help you make money while also keeping the game fun and less demanding of you to spend money in order to level up your cards. Sincerely, Hunter
6 years and a fully maxed account. Countless hours and money spent. 6 years in the same clan joking with the same friends that are dear to me, now all gone. Those same jokes (no racism or sexuality stuff) have now gotten my account deleted. We had a clan member that decided to start harassing us by reporting everyone to be an a-hole. We kicked half our clan trying to weed him out. We thought we got him when BAM, I AM BANNED FOR LIFE for being reported. Support sent me a message saying I can continue to play on my secondary account and build back up. So essentially he said I'm not banned from the game itself, only robbed of 6 years of time and money. I can have the same name and be in the same clan, I just can't have what I paid for and earned. It's no wonder they just lost a $9 million lawsuit for intellectual property theft. Unfortunately, they can steal from us because we can't hit them back for millions unless we band together and start a class action suit. The precedent for these crooks is already in the court systems, so look for me on reddit to at least get their court fees rolling in. We have a chat outside of the clan where it's a very sad day. Friendships are over and money is stolen over someone reporting us and laughing at us. There's a leave clan option and a chat filter option for a reason. I have no victims to my alleged crimes, but I have been robbed by supercell. Do not spend a dime with these proven thieves.
Best game ever. I have been playing clash Royale and clash of clans forever. Like 8 years of clash of clans and from the beginning for Royale. Thank you for my favorite games that me and my kids can play together. Down to business my only complaint is how a player who gets upset with the clan can kick everyone out. I understand this comes down to the players and who you trust to promote, however- this happened to our very established clan recently and we couldn’t invite people back- because the person who kicked everyone spammed the chat so we couldn’t go back to see the players kicked, and then because we were all in a clan with each other forever we didn’t have clan mates added as friends. I actually didn’t know the only way to add friends is at the end of 2v2. So as we rebuild we are making sure we have everyone added friends. I think you could address both these problems and improve the game. For example FIRST in the River race- you can view the past war tabs and see a list of all the players who participated in previous weeks but you can’t get to their profiles from that list- if we could have we could’ve invited everyone back from that list! Secondly- making it so their is a daily kick out limit.. like maybe 1 person can only kick out 5 people per day- that way a whole clan can’t be devastated by bullies. I hope you read my review I think these are very good ideas- and easy to implement without changing gameplay and the things everyone loves about clash Royale. Happy clashing ✌🏻shadywarrior
I'm looking at the reviews, and I'm just not understanding where all the "It's a pay to win" or "It's frustrating because you can't progress quickly" comments are coming from. I have NEVER spent money on a game. Clash Royale is no different, and yet I still enjoy it. I've been playing for about a year, and I'll admit that it does take time to reach a point in the game where you can access every feature. But once again, it takes time, and watching your account build up is part of the fun. For the unfair matchups, yes, there are a few higher up players who will drop down to the lower arenas, but the chances of getting paired up against one is low. If you do, well, it's just unlucky. There's always a chance to recover those trophies. The reason for the arenas is to group together players of the same playing level, and in my experience, only a few have slipped into one that doesn't fit their level. Keep in mind that some people push trophies, therefore placing themselves in a higher division without giving themselves time to level up. Overall, it's a great game. Strategy is the key point to winning. The cards are all possible to get without paying, Supercell offers chances to win legendary and magical chests from regular battles and special events. It's not really about what type of card you have, it's the playing style. A legendary can be beaten by a common with the right placement. So props to Supercell for the hard work they put into making this game as fun and fair as possible.
I personally loved this game, it isn’t that much ofbthose pay to win games. Now when I’m reading these other reviews and they say that they have to pay to win, that’s not true. The reason? Because I’m already at 4400 trophies and I have a mostly legendary deck, also I never spent a single penny on this game ( also if I tried my mom would find out and get mad, so of course I wouldn’t want that to happen). Also some reviews say that it’s unfair matching, and that they facing bots. One even if they were facing bots Supercell would have fixed that the next day. Two it is fair you just to log on daily, so I don’t see why all these other people are just being mean to Supercell. Try making your own game with almost 5 stars! Yeah that’s what I thought. Three people are saying the other guys level is higher than mine and they have better cards, well then you have to gather more cards if your so jell-us. Last but not least I read this one comment and it said that they couldn’t get any legendarys when they opened a chest, well there’s another problem with that, you can’t just get legendarys like there candy you have to work for them. It’s not like taking legendarys from a child, or in this case Supercell. I agin love clash royale and think that, if you are one of these people who wrote mean reviews THINK OVER YOUR LIFE CHOICES! Again love the game, now I’m not trying to criticize the people who wrote those type of comments I’m just trying to explain to them. Hope you liked this review. OUT!
i would recommend to play this game, itssss reallllllly hard, because your basically playing chess but in a different setting and with different rules. Ppl complained that the “pass” isnt like it used to be, well no duh, previously u got wayyyy too much, it was too good. Now u get how much ur supposed to get, i don't get why ppl are crying about this. I would recomend that beginers and actually are players stay away from coin flip cards, such as sparky, inferno dragon, inferno tower is relativly safe. just dont use the other 2 cards because they are both countered by zap. but other than that, its a good strategy game, its way easier to grind your cards to max lvl, because u litterally have all the cards and every single one of them gives u a reward for inflicting damage or doing aomething else with the card. point is that its way easier to max out the cards you want to max out. I heard some ppl complain that maxing out champions is impossible, i dont really know anything bout that, except for the fact that u get 4 random champions on the ladder (which is pretty good) (but you need a maxed out deck AND MORE IMPORTANTLY U NEED TO BE GOOD). But even if you cant max out your champions, or havent gotten them yet, it dowsnt matter, only one of my 10 decks even uses a champion, and with my non champion decks, i constantly win against champion decks, champions are not op, they are just veryyyyyy unique and hard to get, ppl often mistake cards for being op just because they are hard to get
