The Chess Opening Analyzer is an indispensable tool for any chess player looking to improve their early-game theory. It’s less of a game and more of a high-end educational coach. The ability to visualize the 'tree' of possible moves and see the engine evaluation for each one helps demystify why certain openings are preferred at the Grandmaster level.
The interface is clean and doesn't get in the way of the data. I particularly appreciated the 'Database' feature, which shows how often specific moves are played in real tournaments and what the resulting win/loss ratios are. It’s a focused, professional tool that can take your preparation from amateur to academic if you put in the time to study the lines.
Extensive opening move tree
Integrated Stockfish analysis engine
Access to millions of Master-level games
Personalized opening repertoire builder
Detailed win/draw/loss statistics for every move
Use the 'My Openings' feature to save lines you want to memorize. The app will highlight deviations from your chosen paths during practice sessions to help reinforce your memory.
Enable the Stockfish engine to see real-time evaluations (+/-) of any position. This helps you understand which moves are blunders and which lead to a positional advantage.
While focused on openings, you can manually input any position to get an engine evaluation of the middle and endgame.
The only thing I Can say is Absolutely mind blowing
Steals data for nothing in return. Will have you link your Lichess account, share your Lichess email ID. Says it will download the entire history of games to show analysis within 3 minutes. 3 minutes later, nothing. Will have to start again, wait for 3 more minutes, for the same result. Do that a few more times to no avail, then link your account once more. Basically, give your data, take some stress in return and then uninstall.
Don’t waste your time. App doesn’t work at all.
