Crowd Evolution! is a strategic runner where you lead a group of warriors through a journey across time. Crowd Evolution! puts a very clever spin on the 'crowd runner' genre by introducing a vertical progression system: time. Watching your stickmen swap out spears for assault rifles in real-time is visually satisfying and keeps the gameplay feeling fresh.
There’s a genuine strategic layer here; you have to decide if you want to be 'outnumbered but advanced' or 'numerous but primitive.' The boss fights at the end of the levels provide a nice climax to the running phase. It’s a polished experience with a great sense of scale, making it one of the better 'evolution' games currently on the market.

In the middle levels, prioritizing the 'Year' gates is usually better than 'Count' gates. A smaller group of musketeers will easily defeat a massive group of cavemen.

Once you evolve to have bows or guns, try to stay at the maximum distance from the enemy to thin their ranks before they can close in.
