Fixed several minor gameplay bugs:
- Campaign boss characters now have a new effect called BOSS IMMUNITY. This effect confers immunity to instant destroy, transform, return to hand, and remove from game effects. This prevents the player from losing the mission by removing the boss character.
- Campaign: Fixed a bug causing units summoned by an event to display the incorrect state.
- Fixed a bug causing stomp and teleport to sometimes combine incorrectly.
- Fixed a bug allowing Brynjolf knockback damage to destroy tombstones.
- Fixed a bug allowing friendly units to stomp each other when an automatic or forced movement effect is used.
If you ever felt like traditional card games were too static, Cards and Castles Ultimate is the remedy. It’s a brilliant fusion that actually makes the 'positioning' of your cards matter. You aren't just playing a creature to a board; you're deploying a soldier onto a battlefield where flanking and movement are just as vital as the numbers on the card.
The 'Ultimate' tag is well-deserved here. The visual polish is a significant step up from its predecessor, and the meta feels incredibly fresh. Whether you're a fan of slow-burn control decks or 'face' aggro strategies, the grid adds a layer of complexity that keeps every match feeling like a fresh puzzle to solve. It’s easily one of the most underrated strategy titles on the App Store.

Always place your ranged units behind your high-health defenders. Since units cannot move through each other, creating a 'wall' of infantry is essential to protect your castle's health from direct attacks.
Try combining the Viking's aggressive movement cards with the Crusader's defensive buffs. This 'Midrange' deck style allows you to control the center of the board while keeping your units alive longer than the opponent expects.
The Ultimate edition includes remastered assets, rebalanced card sets, and cross-platform play support.
If you like card games this game is for you! It’s different in a good way and they are pretty generous with card packs. I’ve played alot of card games lately and this one is a new fav. Can’t wait to dive in more and learn what each faction is capable of. So far loving the Vikings.
CnC ultimate refines the mechanics from CnC II, with faster paced card battling action. A renewed emphasis on positioning, helped by the guardian squares, lends this CnC its signature unique gameplay. The card designs and strategies seem easy to learn but hard to master. PVP is unforgiving and there is a steep learning curve. Even at the lowest ranks you can expect to meet someone who has a very good deck. Games are often decided by turn 3, a departure from the previous entry. Additionally, comeback mechanics are scarce if they exist at all. If you haven’t gotten something started by turn 3, you might as well surrender. The choice to limit AOE allows more unit gameplay, while resulting in a very punishing experience for anyone who falls even one turn behind. This does encourage thoughtful deck building, you seriously won’t be able to win without a carefully crafted strategy. Overall it’s been fun so far, and I can’t wait to figure out how to make those silly combos that end games turn 3.
Genuinely don’t get why we decided to come out with a completely new game instead of building on the one we had. Cards and Castles 2 was so much fun, and the abilities made sense. Now it’s just a bunch of random stuff doing more random stuff. Hopefully yall work on this game consistently instead of just pushing a new one out in a year. Cards and Castles 2 went 6 months without any revisions or updates and now you come out with a new game to start all over again on cards. I spent money on Cards and Castles 2 and now it’s just for nothing.
Don’t play card games much but wow do I enjoy this. Hope they keep adding cards and features because this is a seriously fun game
It’s a fun game, the developers have built well off the gameplay of the previous two titles
This is v3 of an indie card game. Clearing the campaign gives you tons and tons of free cards (including tons of legendaries). Definitely worth a play
The game itself is fantastic but it takes a very long time to get in a match and even if that happens the game crashes and ends abruptly.
