Behind the scenes work for different iPhone devices.
Car Trip Bingo is a lifesaver for long family drives. It takes the classic 'I Spy' and turns it into a competitive game that keeps kids looking out the window instead of at a screen (ironically). The icons are easy to recognize, and the 'bingo' mechanic is easy for children to understand.
It's a simple app, but it's well-executed. I like that you can customize the boards so you aren't looking for 'Palm Trees' in the middle of a snowstorm. It's a wholesome, low-stress way to make a 4-hour drive go by much faster for everyone involved.
Dozens of road-trip themed items
Interactive digital bingo cards
Multiple board themes (City, Country, etc.)
Fun sound effects and victory celebrations
Great for reducing road-trip boredom
When the game starts, each player is assigned a unique grid of items. As you drive, look out the window for the items on your screen. When you see one, tap it to mark it off. The game will automatically announce when a player has achieved a 'Bingo' (five in a row vertically, horizontally, or diagonally).
You can choose between different board themes depending on where you are driving, such as 'City,' 'Highway,' or 'Rural.' This ensures that the items on your board are actually possible to find, making the game fair and fun for everyone in the car.
No, Car Trip Bingo works entirely offline, so it's perfect for remote highways or areas with poor cellular service.
There’s only one card per type so if more than 1 person is playing, you all win at the same time. Stupid. Pointless. Edit after seeing the developer reply: the app was downloaded on two separate phones, mine and my son’s. When each of us opened the app on our separate phones to play against each other, we had the exact same layout of tiles and items. It would be a tie. No winner. No point to playing.
On iPhone X. Please pull from store. Bad developer.
When you start the game two columns of the tiles needed to play are off the screen making the game unplayable. The dev likely did not keep up with screen resolution changes.
Fun and easy game to take with you as you travel!
Fun way to pass the time on long drives with the kids. Mom likes it too!
Tried to play, but there are no game spaces to play with after game play begins
