Guildlings is incredibly charming. It captures the feeling of a group of teenagers on a summer road trip, if that road trip involved magic and ancient ruins. The writing is the standout here—it’s funny, self-aware, and feels genuinely modern without being cringey.
The combat system is a breath of fresh air. I love that it’s about managing emotions and relationships rather than just grinding levels. It makes every interaction feel like it has weight. The world is a joy to explore, and the art style is clean and vibrant. It’s a very 'warm' game that’s easy to get lost in, perfect for anyone who values story and character over hardcore stats.

Characters' abilities are tied to their mood. Some spells can only be cast when a character is 'Chill,' while others require them to be 'Amped.' Use your conversation choices to influence how your teammates feel before entering a major encounter.
Your phone is your primary menu and quest log. You'll receive 'texts' from characters and interact with the world through a social-media-like interface, blending the fantasy setting with familiar modern tech.
The game was released in chapters. Currently, it offers a substantial amount of content, though it is designed as an episodic journey.
