Bronze Age is a surprisingly deep and historically grounded strategy game that tasks you with leading a tribe through the dawn of civilization. It’s less about combat and more about survival and resource management. You have to balance food production, population growth, and technological research while dealing with random events like droughts or tribal raids.
The game does a great job of making you feel the 'weight' of your decisions. Investing in agriculture might help you survive a winter, but it might leave you vulnerable to a neighboring tribe if you neglect your defenses. The UI is clean and informative, presenting complex data in an easy-to-understand way. It’s a slow-paced, methodical experience that rewards long-term planning over quick reflexes. A must-play for fans of historical sims or '4X' strategy games.
Deep historical resource management
Dynamic event system based on real history
Branching technology and culture trees
Multiple scenarios and difficulty levels
Always ensure you have a 'Grain Surplus' of at least 200 units by the end of the Autumn phase. If you enter Winter without food, your population will decrease by 10% every turn, which can be a game-ending blow early on.
Prioritize 'Pottery' and 'Irrigation' in the early game. These two technologies provide the foundation for food storage and high-yield farming, allowing you to focus your population on 'Culture' and 'Military' later on.
You must invest in 'Scouts' to reveal nearby lands and then send a 'Colonization' party once your population exceeds 50.
Started play this on cool math games and found it on the App Store which was the best game I have played since I found it
I’ve been playing this game since 2013 and I’ve always loved it but when I download it again today, I noticed that the game was working fine but the background of the phone was flashing black and dark gray very fast. May be this is something that the developers can fix?
The game is alright, fun, sort of challenging. But you can beat both stages on every difficulty in a little over an hour and replaying it gets old fast. By choosing three stars, I’m saying I like the game itself, I just didn’t feel like it was worth the price.
Easy alternative to civ
I wish I had larger print and took up the whole screen because I have to almost strain my eyes to see it
Good game but there is a bug where the screen flickers on newer devices which is super annoying.

Very difficult! I could play this for hours. But the screen isn’t formatted for the newer phones.
