Blue Wednesday is a soulful, melancholic masterpiece that feels more like an interactive indie film than a traditional game. You follow Morris, a jazz pianist in the city of Evans, as he navigates the mundane and magical moments of his daily life. The game masterfully blends rhythm-based piano sequences with exploration and deep, meaningful dialogue choices. It’s a quiet exploration of ambition, failure, and the small joys of existence.
The art style is gorgeous, utilizing a hand-drawn aesthetic that perfectly captures the vibe of a late-night jazz club. But the music is the true soul of the experience—the jazz soundtrack is world-class and perfectly synced with the emotional beats of the story. It’s a slow-paced, thoughtful game that demands your full attention. If you’re looking for something that challenges your heart as much as your reflexes, Blue Wednesday is an essential experience.
Stunning hand-drawn visual storytelling
Original world-class jazz soundtrack
Interactive rhythm and exploration gameplay
Deeply branching narrative with multiple endings
Engaging mini-games including vinyl collecting
The game is divided into days. Don't rush to the main objective—exploring Evans City often leads to 'Chance Encounters' with NPCs that reveal backstories and unlock new sheet music for Morris to play at the club.
During jazz performances, you'll need to hit notes in time with the music. Success isn't just about score; a perfect performance boosts Morris's confidence and opens up 'Bold' dialogue options that can change the outcome of key social interactions.
The game features high-quality sound design and music, though most dialogue is text-based to maintain its 'indie film' aesthetic.
So for the funny glitch it’s gone now I think but if you want to know how to do it or just want to know how it happened here’s how it happened and how to do it so you go where Michael is a.k.a. the one with dark skin and yellow hoodie and just walk towards that alleyway and boom, you become Spider-Man that’s like the glitch you can walk all over the place on walls and on the roofs of the buildings it also works in the other city somehow the hard part for me was that trumpet thing when you complete the first episode but this game is amazing in every way😽🥳🥳🤣🤣😂😂😇🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰👧🤢and also there’s a few curse words here, eyes only noticed two🤬😭😭😃😃😃😇😇😇🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰💕💕💕💕😂😂😂😂🥳🥳🥳🤣🤣🤣😮💨
Made me develop a new love for jazz music and wanting to take up piano. This game has a lot of great life messages in the story lines to takeaway from. 10/10 would recommend. Please continue to make more games like this. Thank you for creating it in the 1st place as well.
Unfortunately it lags when you play piano which is more than half of the story & gameplay. I hit the keys right on time but screen or game doesn’t respond properly.
