Block Fortress 2 is the sequel I didn't know I needed until I played it. Foursaken Media has mastered the 'kitchen sink' design philosophy—throwing together building, shooting, and defense—and somehow making it all work perfectly. As an expert in strategy, the addition of planetary hazards is a game-changer. You can't just build the same 'death box' every time; you have to account for gravity and environmental threats.
The shift from building mode to first-person combat is seamless. There is a genuine thrill in standing on top of a turret you just built, sniping enemies while your automated defenses rain fire below. The multiplayer is the icing on the cake, allowing for some of the most creative co-op strategies I've ever seen. It’s a deep, rewarding, and endlessly replayable masterpiece.
Seamless FPS and Building modes
Deep crafting and research tree
Co-op and PvP multiplayer
Dozens of enemy types and bosses
Don't spend all your minerals on walls. Turrets are your primary defense; use blocks to create funnels (choke points) that lead enemies directly into your kill zones.
Each planet has unique environmental hazards, like low gravity or toxic air, requiring you to adapt your base design and character equipment.
Yes, Sandbox mode gives you unlimited resources to build your dream fortress.
Wow! I was a HUGE fan of the original Block fortress game, and I must say, this one really takes what made the last one special and optimized it in almost every way! Everything feels pretty balanced as far as I can tell, and the custom map/mission maker is really cool! The weapon modding system feels really good, the only thing I miss from the first is that when purchased, you’re given the choice between 3 random upgrades for various equipment or turrets, and this is a little irritating since I can’t pick EXACTLY what mods I want, but it’s not the end of the world, more of a preference then anything. Other then that, my only other complaint is how expensive the “block buks” are, since I just dislike in-app purchases in general, but this is not a deal breaker by any means, just an annoying temptation lol. Thanks Foursaken Media for another excellent, and very unique game! Todays App Store market needs more thoughtful games like yours!
Either I’m blind or it’s not there, block fortress has been one of my favorite mobile games since day one with the original being a classic great defense strategy mobile game! Just one issue, I don’t see anywhere where I can change the mobile control interface, buttons are quite small and movement is difficult having to press small button, so I would like to see an addition to that, overall great game and I can not wait to see future ideas be added on!
This game is very fun for me bc I’m familiar with Minecraft and love the aspect of being able to build a base and battle in real time against bots who are surprisingly intuitive. Instead of being a free roam there’s a build phase and an action phase each round with spendable resources that can be used to build up your defenses. Solid app worth the download and irl funds to support their innovative efforts towards future game developments. Thank you team.
Like other reviews I think Block Fortress 2 is a level up from the first one. They added more races to the game to defend against. It gains depth with the background stories they created for each race and having to develop different strategies for races and planets is challenging but adds new strategy to the game that wasn’t there before. While technically watching the optional ads for materials is unnecessary, it does make the game feel like an impossibly long grind. So I bought the ad free pass and personally I would say it’s worth it. Some things I would love to see in this game are 1. Having my screen rotate with the gyroscope (in addition to swiping with my finger). If I had the option to look around and aim with the gyroscope gameplay would feel much smoother. Gameloft has done this with some of their games and it makes a big difference. 2. Add a multiplayer option. I would love to play this with my friends or siblings and bring them into playing the game.
Im stuck on a ad where i cant my reward and it feel like the ad frozed on the game and then if i leave to close the page it count as a loss so how is that fair and hey i want to wathc it but yall are making freeze the add their no finish or exit button to when done the ad gfreezes and thanks. Pls fix the update didnt fix it .
Overall this is definitely an improvement from 1. A few things are missing in sandbox mode, but other than that. Highly recommend to download.
Imagine a game where your home design is complete with a fireworks display of gunfire. Personally I’m making a pyramid of steel armor and guns, that is going to be my home for weeks to come. As I travel to each of the complex planets, burn through their ecosystems, I will ponder the next cool addition to my fortress.
The game is just hard to play my towers and weapons do so little damage the enemies do so much damage to my buildings they for some reason melee enemies can do this: ⬅️↖️ 🟩⬆️ ❔⬅️melee enemy And my towers can’t do anything about this also you can’t move buildings so you have to delete it but you get half the resources used to build it another trash mechanic is if you die you have to go back all the back to the start of the level
