Beastie Bay DX is a masterclass in cross-genre design, seamlessly blending monster-collecting with city-building and survival simulation. It captures that iconic Kairosoft charm, offering a deep and surprisingly complex management system that never feels overwhelming. You start stranded on a deserted island with a single pet, and before you know it, you're managing a thriving tourist destination while lead squads of beasts into tactical, turn-based combat.

The 'DX' (Deluxe) version is the definitive way to play, offering enhanced graphics and significantly improved balance that removes the 'grind-walls' of the original free version. What makes it special is the synergy between the two modes: the buildings you place in your city provide stat boosts to your monsters, and the resources your monsters find in the wilderness are used to build your city. It’s an addictive, cozy, and rewarding cycle that proves Kairosoft are still the kings of the mobile simulation genre.

Taming the First Boss

When you encounter the 'Crab King', don't use all your food immediately. Lower his health to the red zone, then use a 'Bait' item. Using bait when the monster is weak increases your capture chance by 40%, giving you a high-stat tank for your squad early on.

Tourist Optimization

Place your 'Inns' near 'Natural Wonders' like waterfalls. Tourists pay 3x more for rooms with a high 'Scenery' rating, providing the massive amounts of gold needed to research the 'Advanced Lab' and unlock the high-tier monster evolutions.

This is probably the only time I’ll complain about a kairosoft game, but I hated how short the time limit was, 5 years was not nearly enough to get all the islands and everything. I wish the chapter was longer, I know I can play forever but when I reach the end of the chapter I never feel like I’m working towards anything anymore. BUT other than that this game is incredibly engaging, tons of fun and it’s probably one of my new favorites!

Kairosoft almost never disappoints, and this is no exception. It’s a great game, really fun, with cute characters, and good replay ability. It could have lasted a bit longer before the high score, however the challenge is good. Highly recommend, even if you didn’t play the first one much or at all.

Happens on ALL kairosoft titles. Not sure why no one else has complained. Music just stops working on all titles. I have to restart the phone to get any kairosoft games to have music but that’s only a temporary solution. Does not happen in any other app or game, only kairosoft.
