minor fixes
Axe Master is the ultimate 'simple but satisfying' game. It takes the concept of axe throwing and turns it into a series of increasingly difficult precision challenges. The physics feel right—there’s a palpable sense of weight when the axe hits the target. It’s one of those games that’s perfect for 'waiting in line' because you can finish a level in thirty seconds.
While it’s definitely on the simpler side, the variety of targets and the different axes you can unlock provide enough motivation to keep going. The graphics are clean and the sound design, particularly the 'thwack' of a successful hit, is very rewarding. It’s a great example of a hyper-casual game that knows exactly what it wants to be and executes that vision without any unnecessary fluff.
Satisfying physics-based throwing
Hundreds of challenging levels
Dozens of unlockable weapons
Simple and intuitive controls
The trick to Axe Master is calculating the rotation. Don't just throw at the target; throw so the head of the axe is the part that makes contact. Practice the flick speed to get consistent rotations.
In the bonus stages with the exploding targets, aim for the central detonator first. This will trigger a chain reaction that clears the board and gives you the maximum possible score.
Yes, heavier axes move slower but are more stable, while knives are fast but require more precise timing.
