This is a crossover that actually makes sense. By combining the 'reflecting' mechanic of Arkanoid with the 'bullet hell' nature of Space Invaders, Taito has created something that feels entirely new yet comfortably familiar. It’s incredibly fast-paced; you’re constantly juggling your paddle to catch every shot while aiming for weak points in the alien formations.
The boss fights are a particular highlight, requiring you to learn patterns and use your special abilities strategically. While the visuals are a bit 'retro-busy' at times, the gameplay is rock solid. It’s an arcade purist's dream, offering a high skill ceiling and plenty of reasons to chase a higher rank. On mobile, the touch-based paddle control feels perfect—it’s much more precise than you might expect.
Fusion of two legendary arcade games
150 skill-testing stages
Giant, multi-stage boss battles
20+ unlockable power-ups and skills
Global high-score ranking modes
As you reflect bullets, your energy meter fills. When it's full, tap to enter Attack Mode, which lets you unleash a barrage of shots directly at the invaders for massive damage.
Equip skills like 'Covering Fire' to help clear the smaller aliens while you focus the Vaus on the main boss. Choosing the right support item can be the difference between a clear and a game over.
Yes, there is a campaign with 150 stages that tells a lighthearted story of the Arkanoid/Space Invaders crossover.
