AR Tanks is one of those rare titles that actually justifies the use of Augmented Reality beyond a mere gimmick. By projecting the battlefield onto your living room floor, it transforms your physical environment into a tactical playground. The way the tanks interact with 'real' obstacles (by mapping your room's surfaces) is impressive, allowing for a level of spatial awareness that standard top-down shooters can't match. Seeing a miniature tank fire a shell that 'bounces' off your actual couch is a delight.
The gameplay itself is a solid mix of twin-stick shooting and light RPG progression. With over 20,000 tank combinations, the customization is surprisingly deep for an AR title. The single-player campaign offers enough variety to keep you coming back, but the local AR multiplayer is where the game truly shines. There’s something uniquely social about standing around a coffee table with a friend, both staring through your phones as you try to outmaneuver each other. It’s a great showcase of Apple’s ARKit technology.

Tips & Walkthrough
Ensure your room is well-lit for the best AR tracking. Use a floor area with some contrast (like a rug) to help the game accurately place the tanks and detect obstacles.
Gameplays
Hold down the fire button to charge your main cannon. A fully charged shot deals area damage, perfect for taking out multiple smaller scout tanks in a single blast.

Sat May 16 2020 joe couch potatoThis game is amazing. It combines classic game types with AR abilities. It adds a whole new level of game play when you can look under bridges and view the entire playing field. I give it a full five stars. I have one suggestion though. It would be great to see A way to play with friends without LAN. I would love to be able to play with my friends without leaving our houses. Your game uses Game Center, so it would be simple to add long-range multiplayer. Along with that, an invite button. Of course, this is just a suggestion, and the game is great already. Thanks for hours of fun. EDIT: there’s some knockoff of this called AR tank wars. Just wanted to let you know.
Really fun and amazing game!
Tue Dec 17 2019 Royal Ranger 14I really like this game but their are a few things that could be improved. For one the tutorial needs to encompass not just how to play but how to upgrade and change your tank, and anything else about the game. Second I like the gameplay but it would be helpful if you could rotate the screen in the middle of the battle with like a two finger swipe because it is difficult to get up and walk around everywhere to either find your enemy or see if there are passages that were blocked from your view. But other then that I really like this game.

Sat Jul 31 2021 Appster96It’s tanks in AR, it’s really cool. Pretty simple and I would love to see a warship version. Maybe Ship Battle AR? Battleships etc. anyway this game is awesome. 5 stars.
