Improved game design.
AR Blaster is a straightforward and energetic arcade shooter that brings a UFO invasion right into your living room. While it doesn't have the complexity of larger AR titles, it captures that classic 'defend the base' feeling perfectly. The tension comes from the 'one-miss' rule—if even a single UFO lands, it's game over, which forces you to be constantly vigilant and precise with your taps.
The game works best when you have a bit of room to scan your environment, as the UFOs can come from various angles. It's a great example of pick-up-and-play AR; there's no complicated setup, just immediate action. While it could benefit from more power-ups or enemy variety, as a pure reflex-based shooter, it’s a fun way to use your phone's camera for a quick blast of sci-fi action.
Immersive Augmented Reality gameplay
Fast-paced arcade shooting mechanics
360-degree combat environment
High-stakes 'one-miss' game over rule
Simple, intuitive tap-to-shoot controls
Once you start the game, keep your phone moving. UFOs can appear from any direction. Tap the screen to fire your blaster as soon as you see an invader. Priority should be given to the UFOs closest to the ground.
The game's difficulty increases as more UFOs appear simultaneously. Focus on rapid, accurate tapping and maintain a 360-degree awareness of your physical space to prevent a surprise landing.
No, it uses your iPhone's standard camera and AR capabilities, though it was also designed to be compatible with AR Blaster peripheral mounts.
Seeing all the one star reviews didn’t deter me, figured I’d be able to get it to work. Downloaded app, went to put batteries in, couldn’t get it open, finally went to the garage and destroyed the screw to open it. Taped the battery door shut, couldn’t get it to pair. No way to access anything in the app. From top to bottom, this product and app is junk.
Would be nice if the app would sync with the sharper image laser blaster my kids got for Christmas to play games!! Can play game on phone tapping on images but I paid for the app to use the blaster..and the only game that comes up is an alien game—says there should be 21 games to play!!! What a let down!!
The Bluetooth never connects and this is a waste of even $.99 what’s the point of buying the gun for my kid for Christmas when it doesn’t even work.
iPhone running IOS 11 and this still doesn’t work. Front screen works with logo but it never advances past “Get Ready.” Please remove this from the App Store.
Mad as hell about this gun I’ve got from 5ive below it didn’t work at all the app opened but the gun wouldn’t pair to the phone ..... garbage smh for now on I’m gonna read reviews before buying
This app is supposed to work with the sharper image AR device. But it doesn’t sync at all. The game itself is boring and there is no variety in it. I want my money back.
App doesn’t allow sync with I phone The IOS needs major improvement with app
Terrible app that doesn’t work with the At gun. Really needs to change the name or be removed from the App Store.
