Aero Fighters 2 is the definition of a 'comfort food' shoot-'em-up. It doesn't try to reinvent the genre; it just executes the vertically scrolling bullet-hell formula with perfect arcade precision. The variety of pilots and planes is the real highlight—playing as a ninja in a jet or a dolphin in a specialized tank is the kind of 90s weirdness I miss.
The mobile port is exceptionally smooth. Shmups live and die by their framerate and control responsiveness, and ACA has nailed it here. The 'Auto-Fire' feature is a blessing for mobile play, saving your thumbs while you focus on the intricate dancing required to dodge screen-filling boss patterns. It’s a short but infinitely replayable burst of action.

Each pilot has a unique shot pattern and bomb type. For beginners, the 'Hien' ninja character is excellent due to his wide spread-shot, which helps clear smaller enemies while you focus on dodging.
Gameplays
Don't save your bombs for the bosses. If you are cornered by bullets, use a bomb immediately—it clears the screen and gives you a few seconds of invincibility, which is worth more than a 'Game Over' with bombs in stock.
