5 Second Rule Group Games is the quintessential 'icebreaker' app. It’s loud, fast, and often hilarious because of how people's brains shut down under pressure. The rules are dead simple: you’re given a category (e.g., 'Name 3 breeds of dogs') and you have five seconds to answer. It sounds easy until the timer starts ticking and you can’t think of a single thing.
This app is perfect for parties because it requires zero setup and can accommodate a huge number of players. The variety of categories is decent, though you’ll eventually see some repeats if you play for hours. The app itself is stable and the interface is bright and clear, which is all you really need for a party game. It’s not a deep experience, but as a social catalyst, it’s worth every penny, especially for those awkward family gatherings where you need something to get everyone talking.
Hundreds of varied categories
Built-in 5-second timer

Honestly I was not going to rate this game. Like many people I never rate games. It just seems like a minor inconvenience most of the time when the “DO YOU WANNA RATE THIS GATE” popup appears. However this game caught me off guard because when I said “No” to rating the game. The popup puppy that carried the sign in didn't go away. He just got sad and stayed on my screen. So to appease this small digital puppy I clicked him and rated this game 5 stars so he'd be happy.
A weekly 2.99/ subscription just to unlock the same unchanging, never updated content. You should be able to buy add on packs at a one off price- I’d be happy to support. I respect app developers and content creators and they should be compensated for their work. However, a weekly subscription model in this context is purposely deceptive, and you can tell they hope you download, briefly use the app and then abandon it. All in the hopes of you not noticing the continuing weekly charge and then cancelling. This is against Apples own subscription model guidelines, but both Apple and Daygames don’t care as long as they are making money off of people who don’t know any better. Have some integrity... I knew to cancel but a lot consumers don’t, and that’s what the creators are banking on. Please everybody save your money and just buy the physical version. A weekly subscription should be for a continued weekly service, not just for access to unchanging content. There is a reason they don’t offer subscription tiers - 2.99 weekly/ 12 monthly / 156 yearly - because consumers would be alerted to the low value for the actual cost. They are taking advantage of a loophole, because legally reprimanding this behavior could potentially damage legitimate weekly subscription apps that deserve to be paid weekly. Again have some integrity...
So fun! The user interface of the app is spectacular and promotes a positive gaming environment for the family, friends or people looking to have a little fun ;)) good stuff! The pop up puppy was SUCH a nice addition and really improved my experience. So happy I finally have a way to play this game on the go! Win for moms everywhere.
I just downloaded the app yesterday and it is a lot of fun, lots of laughs while playing! I would love to see the other content BUT I think a subscription is too much . Obviously the weekly subscription is to try and get more revenue, but I honesty feel like a one time purchase to unlock all content is more befitting. I don’t see this app as a constant use to have a subscription to, just an on occasions type thing. Please consider a one time payment option to unlock all content, maybe somewhere like $6-8. I think that would be more profitable honestly.
If you want a game that will make you and your significant other bond closer by the second, look no more! This game has it all from five second time limits to making sure your lover gives you the good good at the end of the night. Long story short we got goosed and messed around. Thanks for the game. Love you all!!!!!
Y’all better be lucky im drunk right now cause I don’t write reviews for anything. So congrats y’all my first. Done played two round with my babe. Even though I cheated a little and took baby sips I’m still drunk. And I’m the one who won both rounds 😭💀. So yea this does the job well. Especially if You are competitive.
Imma go ahead n give it 4 stars for now bc I will be playing this game tomorrow with my friends to test it out so I’ll be back to update so far just looking over it it seems like a lot of fun
everyone and their cousin seems to be switching from one-time purchases to subscriptions and it’s honestly getting a little ridiculous. if you make decks for a game, you should be able to purchase those decks individually and own them. i think the subscription service could be a feasible option since it unlocks all the packs at once, but there needs to be an individual purchase option too. other than that, the game is fun and there are two free packs which i appreciate. it also doesn’t have to be played as a drinking game if you are just looking for a fun family game night.
Guess Word is the hilarious "charades" game with NO ADS! Help your friend guess the word on their forehead by giving them clues, without saying the word!
