Needs an update

I’ve had this game for like 8 years and keep redownloading it to beat the game which takes like a day. It could sure use an update.

Has probs but good

There's a couple things I'd fix with a free update 1- The average car speed should be increased every car u own like Beattle-35 4x4 truck-45 Wrecker-55 And so on 2-Fix the driving through trees the rocks r ok you could just make it so u bounce over em 3-When you drive off somthing at a good speed you should be able to get some air 4-The physics for your vehicle flipping at a top speed of 26 mph is frankly impossibe and the cars have a high risk of flipping which I don't like 5-Online play would be siiick! 6-I know I'm asking a lot but some of these things can wait for like two or three updates but this is a big prob for me the Jam_collecter I absolutly h8 it please fix I am only able to get at max 4 items before I'm beaten it's lame I would just make it like a time race vs u an the CPU in career 7-Randomness of vehicles please say if I pick the Custom 4x4 truck I should be able to race vs a wrecker as well as maybe a beattle I don't know that would be fun This game deffinantly though is worth buying I love it it's so awsome it takes a little getting used to at first but great game as I wrote above a few probs but nothing that can't be fixed in some updates ^^ ok well thanx for reading my update Just know updates dó not have to be soon but thet are nessesary  --Sgt-Darman--

Terrible

This app is terrible. Honestly, I can't believe they are selling this for $2. I got this as a free app of the day, and started hating it after a couple days. The screenshots make it look amazing, but unless you enjoy slowly climbing over hills and easy games, you will not enjoy this. All the vehicles are pretty much the same. Some go about 3 mph faster than others, but that's about all. Some events will take up to 10 minutes, as you drive through gate after gate, tediously. Pretty much every event (yes, all 32 of them) is the same as the last one. Plus, you are always 2x faster than your opponent, which makes the entire game extremely easy. On top of that, evey location is the same: flat, with maybe a couple of hills. There are no fun jumps, and since the max speed on the fastest vehicle is about 50 mph, it'll take a while just to climb a small hill. And to make things worse, the game is buggy. Sometimes the touch screen will randomly stop working, and I can't pause or use my brakes. And if I do win the event without my brakes, I can't press continue when I'm done to collect the reward and move on. All and all, this game is frustrating and repetitive. You're probably wondering why I took the time to write such a long review. It's because I'm trying to save you your money. I don't think I will ever make a purchase from this developer again. Please, save your money.

What happened???

I've had and enjoyed this game for some time, but all of a sudden, when I try to play, the controls are grayed out and it days 'locked' with no further explanation! After some frustrated clicking, it looks like I now need to earn money to buy the cars, tracks, etc, that I used before the last update. Who's idiotic idea was this???!? --My original review before this bad update:-- Unlike all the other driving games for the iPhone/iPod, this is the only one I've found that doesn't impose a strict track to follow, making the others little more than glorified slot car games. My only real issue is the braking: it's actually a reverse, so the it just gradually lowers the speed of the vehicle. Having reverse is nice, but it doesn't behave like a brake (the wheels never lock up, it's not strong enough, etc.). There's a "brake assist" feature on the settings page, but as far as I can tell, this just adds an annoying delay before you can accelerate again (I thought this was a bug until I turned the feature off). Otherwise, 4x4 Jam is simple and fun.

Love the game had it dice release

I love this game, ive had it since it came out and alleays play it. It's one of my favorite apps availivble. I don't know why one guy on here says the cars go slow up hills. In the sand dune my truck jumps when I drive over them, and the max speed isn't 50 mph i can get the trucks up to 100 mph on flat terrain. But there still fast in hilly enviorments, and the races aren't all the same, there's different modes. Granted the controls give out at points, but the game is still fun. And the developer alleays makes good updates with fixes. All in all I love this game and how the developer made the buggies and trucks ave good physics, it's kinda like motorstorm pacific rift, but on the iPhone. I would recomend this app to anyone who loves a good game to race in, and anyone who loves just haveing fun driveing around in free roam enviorments. I give it 

Please Update!

This game is awesome but you need to update it. You need to make the easy mode harder and you shouldn't have to buy vehicles with real money. I thought it was a real waste of money but the spieler buggy was so cool I couldn't resist it. I want to also say that if you think the "unlock everything" setting was cool, you're wrong. It's sorta like cheating. I don't like it and am glad it is gone. Anyways add a map showing you where you and your opponents are. Like some people have been asking about, I agree that you should be able to make your own vehicle and add more to unlock. I'm 8 years old, so I don't really care and I know it's a lot to take in but I would give the game 5 stars. Sorry I messed up and accidentally put a review but this is the real one. Thanks

Fun but not too addicting

Love it! "Quick Race" mode is fun and addicting but "Career" mode is somehow too easy to be addicting. Higher performance cars seem to be detuned to make player win championship easily (a Beetle can beat a higher performance Pike Climber or Custom Pickup). Ironically that makes it less addicting. I win the championship within 2 days with my kids crawling and bouncing all over me while playing. So to make it more addicting especially in "Career" mode keep those high performance cars as what they are fast and handle well and also make us able to tune or modify the low performance cars like LandRider and X-Revo with higher performance shocks or engine then it'll be the best racing 4x4 game app ever and I'll give 5 stars :)

Worth the money.

This is a application that is worth it's money. Although there are some improvements I'd like to see. The main one is to fix the wheels in the cockpit view, because they point out which makes it hard to tell which way you are going, especially on the buggies. Another thing I'd like to see is multiplayer, and to have it where if you have the bumper, cockpit, or hood view, you do not go to external/helicopter when you flip or go off the side of a hill. It would just look cooler if you ask me. Lastly, possibly make it so the wheels don't come out if the body/go into it, and possibly limit the travel of the mesh you see so the ground underneath is not shown.

The more I think about it, the more I see similarities between the Apple Watch and 4x4 Jam HD by Invictus Games. Hear me out: They're both...
