3 Count Bout is a fascinating relic from the 1993 NeoGeo library, now perfectly preserved in the ACA series. It's a professional wrestling game that leans heavily into the 'arcade' feel—think high-octane action over realistic simulation. The sprites are massive and well-detailed, capturing that classic SNK grit. It’s a bit more 'button-mashy' than modern fighters, but it has a unique charm, especially with the street-fight levels that involve weapons.
Playing this on mobile is made significantly easier thanks to the emulation features. The ability to save states and customize the virtual pad helps mitigate the difficulty spikes typical of 90s arcade games. It’s not the deepest wrestling game ever made, but for a hit of nostalgia or a quick session of over-the-top grappling, it delivers exactly what it promises.

Success in 3 Count Bout depends on the speed of your button tapping during a lock-up. Once you win the grapple, use the directional pad in combination with the attack buttons to perform powerful suplexes and slams.
Don't just stay in the ring. In certain stages, you can move to the foreground or background, pick up weapons, or slam opponents into hazardous obstacles for massive damage.
Yes, the ACA NEOGEO series generally supports Bluetooth controllers for a more authentic arcade experience.
I’ve been waiting for this one. Not as good as Saturday night slam masters by Capcom, but close. I love all the crazy characters, and the progression of matches, including backstage matches with weapons is a bonus. The ring announcer is another nice addition to this game. I’m currently playing through the entire game, and it’s lots of fun. The save option on all of these SNK games works flawlessly, and is a good way to take a break and complete later.
Love the NEOGEO stuff it’s better than all the retro games keep on keeping on with what your doing
