123 Fun MUSIC Games is a bright and noisy sandbox designed to introduce toddlers to the world of sound. The app features a variety of digital instruments—from a mini-piano to drums and a xylophone—all rendered in friendly, vibrant colors. For a parent, it’s a double-edged sword: the children usually adore the immediate feedback and the ability to 'bang' on the screen to make noise, but the lack of a structured 'game' means they might lose interest once the novelty of the sounds wears off.
Technically, the app is simple and responsive, which is exactly what you want for a toddler-targeted product. However, it has been criticized in the past for its navigation; kids can easily tap into the parent settings or external links if not supervised. If you are looking for a simple, digital toy to keep a small child occupied for ten minutes while they explore basic scales and rhythms, this fits the bill, but don't expect a deep educational curriculum.
Multiple instruments including Piano and Drums
Large, toddler-friendly interface and buttons
Vibrant animations that react to music
Helps develop rhythm and motor skills
No high scores or stressful timers
From the main menu, children can select any of the available instruments. In piano mode, they can tap the keys to play individual notes. In drum mode, different parts of the kit produce different percussive sounds. There are no levels; the app is meant for free-form experimentation.
The gameplay is entirely open-ended. Children interact with the screen to trigger musical notes and accompanying visual effects. This helps in developing fine motor skills and an early appreciation for musical variety.
Yes, the interface is designed specifically for toddlers with large touch targets and simple navigation.
This app comes with a xylophone and drums with cymbals for free. They both are well designed and fun to use. When we first purchased the app it did have buttons asking you if you wanted to purchase additional instruments, which I wasn't thrilled with, but that was okay. However, in a recent update they included a new advertising bar at the bottom of the screen that goes directly to the cover of the latest Sports Illustrated swim suit issue. This is terribly inappropriate and should not be allowed in a young child's app. It is also a terrible way to get you to spend a small amount to just buy the full version. Don't buy the lite version!
I thought the ads (NOT DISCLOSED IN THE APP STORE DESCRIPTION EITHER, for shame!) were just for other apps in the App Store, but the ads actually link to SPAMMY online games. These are Not appropriate for a child’s app, free or not! Everything should be locked under a parental gate! Also I had the PAID version of this app and it was removed from the App Store - I can access it through the App `store in ‘My Apps’ but THAT app should be updated and available for purchase in the App Store, instead of doing these constant switcheroos on customers. Yuck.
I remember playing this app and I believe it’s a great application. So this increases boredom and laziness and that is a fun and realistic game to encourage kids to play the xylophone at all times
I love that game my small sisters have fun with it thanks who do the game I don't see my sisters are happy like that thank you so much ❤️❤️❤️❤️😍😘😊. Regards from:🌹💐🌷🌻🌺🌼 🌸EMILY JOHN KROODS🌹💐🌻🌺🌼🌸✨
I don't like this app because it is only for babies. Also, because of where I have to purchase.

My kid love this game
I totally agree with the statement above me. This was my son's favorite app on my iPad until I recently tapped on it only to find out that I no longer had access to all the instruments that I purchased before. I will not purchase something again that I have already bought. I also noticed too, that the ads still appear even though it was bought. Now I noticed that you have to buy EACH individual instrument for 99 cent instead of all of them. Another thing that I miss is the previous colors. The xylophone colors are now too light. Everyone knows that young children learn best with primary colors: Red, Green, & Blue, like it was before. If it's not broke, don't fix it. I really miss the old one. =-(
