Bug Fix & Improvements
Desk Duty: Idle Office Tycoon is a fun, satirical take on corporate culture that turns the mundane world of office life into a surprisingly deep management sim. You start as a lone manager in a tiny cubicle and eventually end up running a massive skyscraper filled with quirky employees and bizarre office amenities. The 'Desk Duty' mechanic—where you have to manually handle 'crisis' events like a printer fire or a coffee shortage—keeps the idle gameplay feeling active.
The humor is what really makes this game stand out. The employee descriptions and the 'random events' are genuinely funny and will resonate with anyone who has ever worked in a corporate environment. The progression feels fast enough that you’re always unlocking something new, whether it's a better water cooler or a 'Chief Happiness Officer.' It’s a polished, witty idle tycoon that balances automation with enough interactive elements to keep you coming back to check on your virtual staff.
Satirical corporate humor and quirky employee characters
Automated idle workflow with active 'Desk Duty' events
Progressive tower building: Unlock new departments and floors
Deep upgrade system for office furniture and technology
Offline earnings and passive profit generation
Productivity drops if your staff is unhappy. Invest in the 'Break Room' early. A happy employee works 20% faster and generates fewer 'Desk Duty' crises, which saves you time in the long run.
Hire 'Middle Managers' to automate the collection of profits. Once automated, your primary job becomes 'Strategic Expansion'—buying new floors and upgrading the server room to boost your passive income multiplier.
Tap the flashing printer icon immediately to resolve the jam. If ignored, it will stop all productivity on that floor until it's fixed.
I love this game. It’s casual and fun and the premise is pretty neat. There’s one issue I’ve been having, though. (Apologies for putting this in a review! I couldn’t find a way to report a problem.) I’ve finished the chef level. All of my tools and skills are fully upgraded. My VIP chance is over 200%. But it won’t let me move on. I’m not sure if it’s a bug or something I’m missing, but it’s been well over a month since I’ve been stuck at this, and no update has fixed/changed it yet.
I really enjoy the game but I noticed it hasn’t been updated in three months so I’m a little bit worried. The app was frequently updated multiple times a month but since it hasn’t been updated in a while I’m worried. it’s a nice relaxing game that I like to play, and I’ve upgraded everything and now there’s nothing left for me to do in the game so when I found out it hasn’t been updated in a long time i started getting worried if there are no longer going to be updates.
I really enjoy this game given how easy it is to just open it do some quick things then come back later to repeat. It’s perfect for busy schedules that don’t allow for long periods where you can just sit with the app open. My only issue is that after the last update - December 20/21 - I can’t actually do anything. The area for upgrades for my character is completely missing and when I enter the office, I can’t move the screen at all. I can select the desks and printers I can see on the first screen but I can’t go anywhere else.
I wish I could create my own was able to interact with with more stuff concepts is cool I like the click but if we could walk around I think this game would thrive on pc ps5 and Xbox series x/s I see a lot of potential to come from this game. Please keep going.
Overall I’ve become pretty addicted to this game. However, I just opened the app and now seem stuck at my current level. I noticed all the tools are suddenly “maxed out” but only at level 3 and the skills “maxed out” at level 1, even though yesterday when I played I still had plenty more to go. Please fix this issue so I can keep enjoying the game!
Like the title says, this game is okay if you like watching ads as your primary gameplay. I completed the first two career paths and the game won’t progress past head chef, even though all skills are maxed. So, either there is a bug preventing progress, or there is no more content available. Play the game if you need a new distraction, but I wouldn’t spend any money on it.
It's a good game, but I'm stuck at level 2, Chef. I've bought all of the skills and tools, but I never go to the next level. I just sit around buying more and more tasks but nothing happens. It would be nice to have some kind of indication of how close I am to the next level or if I'll ever get to the next level.
My kid loved this game, and I allowed her to spend money to get to the next manager level and business level after graphic design. She fulfilled all requirements and it turns out the levels marked ‘NEW’ and ‘Next Business’ aren’t even available in the game yet. The developer responded with a copy and paste answer about new content being in the way. There’s already a chef level she should have access to! Your app is broken and you clearly don’t care.
