Slime Legion is a refreshing mashup of a 'Match-3' puzzler and a 'Tower Defense' game. Instead of just placing towers, you are merging adorable slimes on a grid to create more powerful units. This puzzle-driven defense adds a layer of strategy that is often missing from standard TD titles. You have to decide when to merge for power and when to keep units spread out for better coverage.

The rogue-lite elements are excellent; after each wave, you choose from three randomized power-ups that can fundamentally change your build. The art style is colorful and full of personality, with each slime tier having a distinct and charming design. What I found most impressive was the pacing; the game respects your time with fast rounds while offering deep tactical choices. It’s highly addictive and provides that perfect 'just one more wave' feeling. It’s a top-tier choice for fans of both puzzle and strategy games.

Now that I’ve gotten far enough

I don’t see the need to spend also like the reward system for watching ads enjoying this greatly also not sure if the retaining skill is actually working or I’m not sure what it does either way it’s really fun. I’m now noticing that there needs to be a way to earn gold cuz as they get higher in lvl it requires more gold and you can’t just focus on one unit or your main four and maybe if you change your units your gonna need gold for them as well.

I’ve been playing this game for a while now and I have had a lot of fun with it. I’ve always enjoyed Tower defense games and the match 3 puzzle is a fun twist. What I don’t like is how aggressive and intrusive the pay to win is. You are constantly bombarded with things to buy. On top of that some levels are blatantly designed to have such a high difficultly curve to make you feel like “if only I had a better unit.. maybe I’ll just spend a little to get one..” I’m all for challenging gameplay and puzzle solving but the way this game goes about it feels kind of dirty. Chapter 14 is especially bad. With dozens upon dozens tries and every monster combination it just not possible to beat fairly and you cant get more units until after it beaten. You have to have insane rng luck and even then it’s not guaranteed If you play it casually it’s fun. But I wouldn’t recommend spending money on this game purely on principle

Clearly a P2W game, really fun for a little while, then unbearably long stages.

Initially, this game was pretty interesting. Merge to make monsters to battle it out. Each stage has several rounds, which they call days, with a boss at every 10. Caught on pretty quickly that leveling up would take actual money, and I did buy a pass because I was enjoying playing every day. After a couple stages, it started to take FOREVER to complete one, not because of the difficulty of the stage, but the “fight” part just took too long. You can watch an ad to speed up the fight, but I hate ads, so I endured. At the 15th stage, there were 40 days. I was ok for the first 30 days, but the last ten made me miserable. By day 37, I was fairly certain I didn’t want to play this again.

At least the ads never open my browser. I found a cool trick where I set up five in a row but below that I put the next level up of that monster under the ones on the end and the next level from those underneath them. So fun but the coins interfere if I have chosen that reward, so please have those appear at the bottom. Also every once in a while I accidentally tap my screen on the edge and a monster goes away. Double check with me please! It’s so frustrating to lose a monster that way. Today the app was glitching so I thought I’d just uninstall and reinstall and it made me start over. How frustrating.

For most part fun game but big flaw when you find them

So I’ve been playing for the past serval months and have gotten most of the hero’s except for a few and came to a roadblock. It’s essentially impossible to get any S or higher hero’s unless you dump hundreds of dollars. Which I guess is ok if your trying to pay to win. But it’s ridiculous how much you have to spend just get one s hero. As example right now even with arrows bought with gems and free arrows just to get to 300 shots just for one Navi. With a short time period to get said character to. So overall if you like puzzle games and a bit of strategy I’d recommend overall game is fun, the micro transactions are gross.

Here’s what I’ve noticed in the few hours i’ve been playing. First off I understand the game is new so there will be a lot of things to come in the future. Some thing I hope to see? - Disable Option for the “suggestion move” it gets really distracting and annoying when looking for a good move. - Some type of multiplayer aspect. I love games where there is either some type of rankings or guild function. I don’t believe there is im on world 6 so far and haven’t seen anything like that. - The Retain a skill function is a bit odd, and misleading. I like the idea but i feel it can become annoying getting a mediocre skill on a hard level. Overall the game is really good, and I had trouble finding things I would like to change. There are a lot of 1 star reviews due to “pay wall” or ads and other things but i just chalk it up to a skill issue. For a new game 5 stars 100%. But I’ll hold off on that until we see what else the developers have to offer.

5* Before Latest Update

Was very much enjoying this game prior to the latest update. To the point that I was actively spending money on it to support the devs. But this latest update has made the game unplayable. The addition of all the special ability squares needlessly complicates the game. I’m on L29. After the update, I can’t even beat L20 stages. You now spend all your moves repositioning away from special spaces with no moves left to actually improve units. Units that have been strategically positioned (even if not in special squares) are moved completely across the board, leaving monsters free to stream down the sides and end the stage in failure. Still deciding on whether to uninstall, most definitely won’t be spending any more money.

I used to play this game daily, and the updates were relatively consistent to keep you interested, but I do not recommend spending money. When I played originally, there was no option to bind your account and the developers are too slow to respond or help to help me regain access. I regularly bought packs and had tons of progress so I was too far along to start over. Edit: I did get access back so added a few stars, but the new character release cadence and monetization is pretty bad. As someone with a legacy account that had every character, I have 0 of the SS and SSS characters. No practical way to earn them.
