This app has been updated by Apple to display the Apple Watch app icon.
• Multiplayer will now connect to closest master server by ping, which should greatly improve latency for players outside the US.
• Multiplayer can again be played with random players - choose "public game" to match with other random players
• Added manual upload/download for iCloud for when automatic syncing is unreliable. This can be found in the options menu, and requires iCloud Drive to be enabled.
Zombieville USA 2 is the quintessential side-scrolling zombie shooter. It takes the addictive 'slaughter and upgrade' loop of the original and turns it up to eleven. The stylistic, fluid animations are a joy to watch, especially on retina displays, but the real meat of the game is the customization. With dozens of weapons—from chainsaws to tesla rifles—and a variety of skills and characters, no two playthroughs feel the same.
The addition of wireless co-op multiplayer is what truly elevates the sequel. Fighting through hordes of the living dead with a friend is chaotic, hilarious, and deeply satisfying. The game also nails the sense of progression; earning money to finally unlock that top-tier weapon feels like a genuine accomplishment. It's a polished, stylish, and endlessly replayable arcade experience that sets a high bar for the genre.
Wireless co-op multiplayer
Tons of unlockable weapons and skills
Fluid, stylish 2D animations
Full Game Center integration
Endless survival mode
Don't just spray and pray. Ammo is limited, so try to group zombies together and use high-damage weapons like the shotgun for crowd control to save your pistol rounds.
In multiplayer, one player can focus on melee weapons like the chainsaw to keep zombies at bay while the other uses ranged weapons to clear the path.
Yes, MFi controller support has been added, allowing you to use your favorite gamepads for a more console-like experience.
I found that I enjoy shooting zombies more than shooting soldiers, on an xbox where gun games control better. On an iphone the zombies formula needs to be different, but fighting zombies with plants as a puzzle game does not give the same adrenaline rush. This game however has the most important aspects of a zombie game; running from hordes, shooting through a crowd, and doing it back to back with another player. Think of the game Streets of Rage but with zombies. THE ONLY BAD THING is that the zombies dont come from the edge of the screen to surround you, they are allowed to sprout out of the ground instantly at any spot at any moment with no warning and with no reason. They can basically appear on top of you, and when a zombie has you, there is no where to move. This is completely unfair, is the reason I cant beat the game, is the main reason I die, and I thing is the only thing about this game that needs to be reworked.
In the first Zombieville, all you did was buy and upgrade guns while you were playing, not in the menu. So every time you played you started over. This game has a much deeper progression system with abilities to use in-game currency to buy and upgrade guns, abilities, traps, med kits, etc. And you don’t have to buy ammo anymore. You can just break boxes and find it. This is a great design choice! There are also more zombie types. Some barf towards you that cause damage, some explode, etc. This adds to more dynamic gameplay. There are a few ways it could have been better though. None of the heroes have any special abilities, so it’s pretty meaningless which one you pick. And you can’t upgrade cars you drive. Also, there isn’t much to go by with story. You just go to different locations and fight different zombies. I’m not saying there NEEDS to be a story, but it would definitely make it more interesting. But that’s a pretty short list of complaints! I don’t usually play mobile games, but this one rules.
This game is really fun and beats the first game by a mile in terms of graphics and gameplay imo. But I still think there is room for another sequel. There is a lot that can be expanded on in this game. Like imagine if you could go into houses (somewhat like the first one) but you see the inside and get to explore, loot stuff, and kill zombies hiding inside furniture. How about taking the 3rd one out of USA and make the locations more diverse like fighting zombies on the Eiffel Tower or something silly? Why not constantly switch the gameplay throughout the campaign to things like a defend gamestyle where youre stuck in one spot like a cafe and have to kill a bunch of zombies before they swarm you? What about a story? Maybe add more weapons, more skills, more characters, more zombies, more vehicles, etc. This might be stretching the boundaries a bit but its fun to think of.
Your games are amazing, and make me happy when I play them, I have played them since I was 6. Now the reason from r me writing this review is to discuss an issue about my favorite game you have made, Zombieville USA 2. It is amazing with multiple levels, awesome sound effects, cool characters, and awesome guns, which you can level up. Now I play it almost every weekend, but there is one problem. I have completed every mission, gotten every character, and gotten and leveled up everything. I feel this awesome game needs more to it, like new levels, a few new characters, and new guns! Also, it would be awesome if you could add new zombies too. I know this seems like a lot, but a game this good, needs more for all the loyal fans of this game out there. Thank you, Anonymous fan
I absolutely adore this game and it's predecessor. It has clean and intuitive controls and simplistic graphics that run phenomenally and are charming in nature. The gameplay is straight forward; buy and upgrade guns and perks while maintaining a balanced load out, and play through levels that become more difficult as you progress. The only issue I have with this game is that the resolution it runs on is meant for older iPhones. I have an iPhone XR, and the game is set at a resolution that is smaller than the actual screen it's running on. I know the developers have stopped working on this game a while back, but if you could fix this issue I would love this game even more. This game is no doubt worth the price of 0.99 cents, and I highly suggest purchasing this game.
This game is the best of its type I’ve ever played!! It has a killer aesthetic, great sound effects, balanced gameplay with literally dozens of different skill and weapon combinations, and most importantly... it is FUN. Also I love the fact that there is a developer out there who hasn’t succumbed to the obnoxious trend in mobile gaming: offering a free download, then making it impossible to advance in the game without spending actual money on upgrades. This game allows you to build your weapons arsenal and power-ups by simply playing the levels and gathering wealth within the game. My only possible gripe: I really wish the game had more levels, more characters, and perhaps even boss battles. I would gladly pay more $$ for this!
This game is really fun and I love playing it with my friends but after you got all the guns done all the missions and got all the skins there is nothing to do so I think there should be more guns and maybe you could upgrade different things about the guns and you should also add more way to get around maybe if you are playing with a friend you can wight for them and they can get in the car with you and shot out of the window you could also add a forwheller or something like that. There should also be special Abilities the deferent people have like the ninja can run fast the grandma can ride cars for a longer amount of time it would make having different skins a lot funner.
I downloaded the first game YEARS ago. I'm talking video iPod days. Upgrading to the 2nd was awesome because it added options and levels that give you so much more game play. I played a LOT on a cruise I just got back from since it doesn't require data to play or save your game. It's still a blast and I ended up upgrading several skills and weapons. Once you upgrade a weapon all the way, it totally changes, so it's still exciting to see how different each weapon becomes. The different combinations of 3 different skills allows you to tailor your game play to exactly how you like to play, and keep it interesting and challenging by switching it up.
