Thinkrolls is one of the best educational games on the App Store, period. It manages to teach complex physics concepts like buoyancy and gravity without ever feeling like a 'lesson.' The characters (the Thinkrolls) are incredibly charming, and the maze designs are brilliant. It encourages trial and error in a way that builds confidence rather than frustration.
As a parent or educator, you'll appreciate how it handles logic. Each new element—like fire, ice, or balloons—is introduced in a simple environment before being combined with other elements for more complex puzzles. It’s an award-winning app for a reason; it’s beautiful, safe, and genuinely makes kids smarter. Even as an adult, I found some of the 'Hard' mode puzzles quite clever.
200+ challenging puzzle levels
No time limits or stress
Teaches real-world physics concepts
Safe, ad-free experience for children
In the 'Fire' levels, children must use blocks of ice to clear a path. This teaches them about melting and thermal interaction through simple touch actions.
The game features two difficulty settings. Easy mode is perfect for ages 3-5, while Hard mode introduces more complex multi-step puzzles for older children.
No, the game is entirely visual and intuitive, making it great for pre-readers.
Hello! I just have a question, I don’t hate the app, just, the money you have to pay if you want to use the app! It looks fun, but it will stop you once you get to the subscription page! Well, I would try the “free 7 day trial” (which is a week) but, still! Well, I know your making money from doing this. Its just like the other sandbox games! Well, I’m sorry to say, but to free space, (kinda) I’ll uninstall this app, if you reply to this, I’ll read the reply, (if I can). That’s just the only problem. ⭐️⭐️⭐️ three stars, I could have not gave you three stars, but since of the subscriptions, it’s at a three star. I know this is the way you earn a lot of money, but, it’s too much! So yeah. Cool app, though!
The app is great, when it works. It would be a 5- star app, but the issues with communication, required permissions, and general inability to access a subscription have made me lower it. I have had consistent trouble with the subscription for this app. After the free trial, I was somehow charged both the monthly subscription on my daughter’s iTunes account and the Annual on mine, which I only have to manage her subscription. After submitting something to address the double charge, she is unable to play on her tablet. In order to login and access our subscription, I have to temporarily enable In-App purchases for her even though she doesn’t need to make them. When I log in with my avokiddo account, it takes us back to the page to purchase a new subscription. I would like to see fewer permissions required, and the ability to get help when facing issues like this.
Thinkrolls is awesome! It’s engaging, teaches in a super fun way (the best way to learn is through fun!), and lots of many options to play. Both my kids and myself LOVE it. They can’t get enough. And the people are amazing! I emailed a question on a Sunday and one of the owners actually responded personally within hours. And responded quickly a few times since. Not only that but she was so kind, thoughtful and helpful. I’m impressed!! They now have a client for life and if you haven’t downloaded yet- DO IT!
We love the coding and logic aspect to this game! And also creativity building as well. Our son (5 yo) loves building puzzles and one of his puzzles even got selected to show up in the Community Puzzles Collection! The CEO reached out personally to congratulate and thank us so that was a lovely touch as well. This app is also bug and ad free, has never crashed on us even on a very old iPad. Awesome game and awesome developers. Well worth the price!
I initially got this for my three kids because they were in a “I want to learn how to make a video game” phase. This app does way more than teach early coding. It reminds me of Lumosity, but kid style. Our kids are ages 4-8, and they all really enjoy it. I could tell with our middle child in particular that he was really thriving on it, boosting his confidence and increasing his intelligence. I highly recommend doing a trial period for your kiddos.
It is the best game cause you get to change your person and there’s so many stuff. I just like you so much like I could do everything that I want I could create stuff and yeah, I could do a lot of stuff in this game. I could create stuff when I just said. You get to make a character what I said and you could do so many stuff. I just forgot how much stuff you could do yeah people yeah
First off, my son loves this game and we love that it helps our son have to think things out as well as saving the jelly babies! The team and founders of the app are amazing and so sweet, when you reach out for help or anything they talk to you like you’re family. Definitely recommend getting this for your kiddo or even yourself to play.
What should I rate a game that takes an hour to download but only takes one second to crash and exit each of the six times I tried it? I was a bit concerned that half the recent reviews said you couldn’t play it at all without paying a relatively LARGE subscription fee after seven days, but I gave it a chance because the other reviews were excited about it. However, since it crashes instantly without fail, and I can’t see the game or the subscription offer, I don’t have to consider either.
