Gin SC is a great choice for Gin Rummy enthusiasts. The 'knock' mechanic is handled perfectly—the game gives you a clear indicator of your deadwood count so you aren't doing mental math the whole time. The AI can be quite crafty; they'll hold onto cards they know you need if you aren't careful.
The UI is very efficient. Dragging and dropping cards feels natural, and the 'sort' button helps keep your hand organized during high-pressure rounds. It's a no-frills, high-performance card game that nails the fundamentals.

Tips & Walkthrough
Your goal is to organize your cards into sets (three or four of a kind) or runs (three or more cards of the same suit in sequence). Tap 'Sort' to help find these patterns in your hand.
Gameplays
Once your 'deadwood' (unmatched cards) totals 10 points or less, you can 'Knock' to end the round. If you have zero deadwood, you go 'Gin' for a massive bonus!

I have played gin rummy for over 50 years and have always used a three column per person score card, keeping track of three games at once. This app doesn't do that, it is merely adding up scores in a single "column" mode. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS APP..
Good app, two suggestions
Wed Apr 17 2013 DuaneBenderGinSC is easy to use, logical in layout, and works well for scoring one game at a time. I'd like to see a Hollywood scoring option (3 games at a time), but I'm sure this would be a non-trivial addition. Another change I'd like to see, which would be simple, is to the options for Shutout Bonus. Most people I've played gin with do not add a specific number of points for shutouts--they double the winner's total score.

Sun Feb 05 2023 BobBehmeMy wife & I used GinSC almost everyday for the last 3 years. Suddenly I could no longer open it. Seems to have coincided with the last IOS update. We miss it, can it be fixed?
Great Start!
Mon Dec 28 2009 ForeKrisThis is a great start to an app i'd use all the time. It's very simple to use. I'd like to see more of the rules reflected here. (1) player must knock with a lower value than the turn card; (2) Double points for a spade turn card; (3) track multiple "life-time" games with multiple players.
New Update won’t load
