ELOH is a rare kind of puzzle game that manages to be both deeply challenging and incredibly soothing. From the creators of 'Old Man's Journey,' it ditches the ticking clock and high-pressure stakes for a meditative experience centered around rhythm and music. The goal is to move 'spirits' around a grid so that a bouncing projectile hits them, creating a percussive beat that eventually forms a complete musical groove. When you solve a level, you aren't just finishing a puzzle; you're completing a song.
The hand-painted art style is gorgeous, filled with joyful animations and warm colors that make the whole experience feel like a living painting. The gesture controls are perfectly tuned for touch, making the act of sliding the spirits into place feel tactile and satisfying. There are no ads or paywalls here—just 98 handcrafted levels that respect your pace. It's the perfect 'headphones on' game, proving that puzzle games can be an emotional and sensory experience rather than just a logic test.
98 handcrafted musical puzzles
Beautiful hand-painted visuals and animations
Pressure-free gameplay with no timers or ads
Apple Design Award winner
Each spirit block acts as a bumper. Move them until the bouncing sound starts to match the rhythm of the background music. If the beat sounds 'off,' you're likely one tile away from the correct solution.
Players drag and drop colorful idol heads into positions on a grid. Once placed, a source emits blocks that bounce off the heads. The goal is to guide the blocks into the designated 'finish' portals.
No, it is a logic puzzle game where the solution creates a rhythm, but you don't need fast reflexes to play.
It took me like two years to play through all the levels just since I kept wandering off to find easier puzzles. But this app addict, who usually just plays games to death for a few weeks then cleanses my phone of them.... I always kept it around. It was great for the occasional thinker and I was determined to play all the levels. It’s genuinely fun to figure out without having any gimmicks that make it more addicting or leave you wanting more. At any point and especially the end of the puzzle, you can just dance to the beat! I feel like I can even listen to music with a more discerning ear, having now put together the elements of a complex rhythm myself. Super cute, sleek art style, super varied tools and solutions that are introduced in intuitive ways. No instructions necessary. I’ll probably keep it around and play through all the levels again! Such a sweet perfect game! Thank you creators!!!
I usually never give games 5 stars but this game deserves it. It’s beautifully made and worth every penny you put into it. It gets difficult, but not so hard as to be frustrating, and there aren’t any ads getting in the way of your puzzles. The ambiance and music is absolutely gorgeous, I love the entire concept wholeheartedly—it’s super relaxing and helped calm down after a panic attack. Everything about this game is just soothing and nice, from the unique, simple, and friendly graphics to the beautiful background sounds and music that plays behind the rhythms you create. I highly recommend this game for anyone who wants something calm and fun to play when they’re feeling stressed!
I’m blown away by this game. First, there’s no in-app purchases, you buy the game outright which is a win in my book. Second, the gameplay itself is extremely fun. My 10 year old and I started playing it together, and we’re up to level 31 right now. We’re both having a lot of fun trying different things to solve the levels. For a game I almost didn’t download because it seemed too simplistic, I take that back because there’s so much more to this than meets the eye (and starts getting pretty hard). We love listening to the music the sprites make when we solve a level too. WELL DONE!! I’d easily buy more from this developer in a heartbeat.
To the creators: I applaud you for the wonderful effort you put into this app. Not only is it fluid, but captivating and most of all entertaining. I enjoy this game a lot and not only does it help with my anxiety but it’s calming, fun, puzzling, and most of all beautiful. Great job. To the customers: Though the price may look /intimidating/, I believe this game is worth it. It’s fun. It’s rythmic. From my experience, it’s not buggy. I’m already at level 50 after 3 days. It’s calming, entertaining, and absolutely beautiful. If you can’t sleep, if you’re bored. If you need a distraction from a bustling, stressful life, I recommend giving this game a shot.
This game is perhaps the most intuitive and relaxing I’ve ever played. The way it rewards you for experimenting by offering up interesting rhythms while you try different block positions, it’s just great! Heck, I just got lost for half an hour not even seeking a solution. I found some really interesting patterns in there, would love a way to get the patterns out of there, or record the audio out. I feel this would make a really interesting musical tool with a few additions. That’s my only suggestion, and really it’s tangential anyway. Gorgeous game, thank you for putting this out.
Just challenging enough for this 67 yr old. Some puzzles you’ll get rapidly while others took me a few hours of repeated efforts. A really complicated one may be followed by one less so, but you’re slowly building your skills and you won’t get overly discouraged. Just when it gets easy they throw in another twist to complicate things and further challenge you. Easily one of the most enjoyable ways to escape the monkey mind or pass time while waiting. Addictive! A real bargain for a very fair price. I’m told there are 80 levels. I’m at level 43 after several days. I’ll be sad when it’s over.
This game is perfect for a few minutes distraction to take a quick break. It’s challenging enough to be interesting yet not overly difficult and frustrating. The rhythm of the bouncing pinballs is calming, and it’s fun to see them ricochet all over the screen. Calculating the angles while you play is fun, and I’ve never liked math, especially geometry (I got a D.) If you get in a tight spot in the game you can “snooze” the pinball while you re-think your strategy. I hope these game creators make a second version. I’d buy it!
The melodic nature of the game is actually helpful to solving the visual puzzles. Every time the beat goes off is an indication to make an adjustment and getting it just right is rewarding. I enjoy the color component as well; it provides a sense of depth in how a board needs to be approached; fixing the face tablets just right to bounce off of a rim or to blend through. The levels become more demanding of a solution from the first. It’s surprisingly deep, and more than worth the $3 asking price.
